Like a Chicken with Its Head Cut Off

Its April Fools day and I'm too tired to figure out something to fool you with... Its FYE (Fiscal Year End) at work and I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off!!!

Meaning:
In a frenzied manner.
Origin:
Poultry may sometimes run around frenziedly for several minutes after decapitation.
The phrase was known in the USA by the late 19th century.

I grew up a country girl and viewed this kind of stuff so it doesn't bother me.. View at your own risk!!

Ever have one of those days????

I can't believe you found this video. It's too funny! I remember playing with the chickens feet, pulling their tendons, and giggling when they moved. Seems kind of morbid now, but I'd probably still do it :)
