No Shave November

Well... no shave November is about to end. Don't you think David did a pretty good job of growing a beard. The question is... will he shave it off the first of December??
He came over a couple of nights ago and Scissorbella and I helped him with a report for one of his classes. He knows where to find the good stuff....

Love of My Life

You've been with me from the beginning. Well… maybe not the beginning , but since I was around 11 or 12. You are so good to me. I can't live without you. You've been with me through thick and thin. You make me look fabulous. For some reason I get tempted and try someone else. I can't promise that I won't be lead astray again by false promises but you must know.. I'm not happy without you and will always come back to you. You're the only one that will ever do! You're the best!! My true love!

My one and only!!

I was tagged by Kelly over at Kelly's Art Journaling. Post the 4th picture from the 4th file on my computer. Well.. I have more that one hard drive .. So which one do I choose? I choose this one of my Grandson Carter. He spent the day with me in July and I tried to take some pictures of him. He was crawling everywhere and moving so fast it was hard to do. This is one of him coming at me.

Isn't he a cutie?? I tag the following to do the same and to tag 4 of their readers..

My sister Krinkle
My sister Sandeelynn
My daughter in law- Jenn

May your stuffing be tasty
May your turkey be plump,
May your potatoes and gravy
Have never a lump.
May your yams be delicious
And your pies take the prize,
And may your Thanksgiving dinner
Stay off of your thighs!
Have a fabulous day and enjoy your family!

10 Things

I've been journaling several things from my on-line class with Jessica Sprague. I'll probably end up sharing a few of my stories with you. My assignment today was something about myself. I chose to journal about the last ten things I purchased for myself. This one was tough. I had to sit down and think about it. Some of the things listed here will be used for others but since its part of my creative enjoyment, it's really for me, also. I combined my journaling with digital scrapbooking.

This kit is from The Sweet Shoppe.

While creating this digital journal.. My Handyman called for me to come outside. This is what he was looking out. The pictures don't portray it very well but the snowflakes were HUGE!!

Self Discovery

Isn't it amazing when children start discovering the world around them.. and everything about themselves. Look what Carter discovered. You can read his Mama's story HERE. Lots of funny photo's. He's such a silly little boy!

I used a digital kit from the Sweet Shoppe. Each Saturday they load a bunch of new kits and offer special pricing.

Dear Cailin

Dear Cailin,

Even though its been 6 years, I think of you often. I think of your fat pink arms and legs and how bad I would love to sqeeze you and give you hugs and kisses. I would love to have you meet your little brother Carter. He turned one this year. He looked alot like you when he was born. When I think about it, you probably already know him. When you went to heaven to live with Jesus you probably found him and became friends with him. You probably played and giggled and had all kinds of fun before it was his time to come to earth. Each day as I see Carter growing and changing I can't help but wonder how it would have been with you . I lost your entire future when you went back to Heaven. You have a special place in my heart. I visit your grave and place flowers on it. I will always remember you and keep you in my heart and look forward to the day I will see you again.

I am a fanatic about my teeth! I brush them regulary and I floss them after everything I eat. I've had very little dental work over my lifetime. So the big question is? Why do I hate going? Why do I squeeze my fists tight until my fingernails dig in deep? I had my 6 month cleaning a couple of weeks ago. What do you mean I have a tiny little cavity?? NO WAY!! I even swish flouride a couple of times a week! Its been over 20 years since a drill has touched these pearly whites! and it's NOT going to happen again any time soon!!!! Well... I really didn't say that but I sure was thinking it!! I was a good patient and made my appointment. I went to Dr Drill yesterday. I told him that he better be nice to me "OR ELSE"! He said "Or else what??" Dang! I was caught.. How would I respond? Or else I'll bite you! I plugged in and listed to my new Taylor Swift music "Love Story" and tried to relax. WOW! I was only there for a total of 15 minutes from the time I walked into the door and back out! I even talked to the front desk about replacing a silver filling that I got when I was 17....

OH! and see those pretty amazing nose hairs that I'm showing off? Please don't judge me! Thats another story...

Stories in Hand

I am taking an online journaling class offered by Jessica Sprague...

I'm on day four and have made a story on hand book, which is divided into sections. Roots, Family, Self, Spouse and a tab for each child. There is a whole list of questions under each section to spark the memory and start journaling....

Example.. Roots: Ancestors, Your Mother and Father, Your Birth and Childhood, Your teenage years, Young Adulthood.
Family: Dating and Marriage, Pregnancy, Your children and Babies, Family Life, Grandchildren etc.
Self: Times then and now. Memorable Experiences, Work, Pets, Travel, Hobbies/Talents/Creativity, Home and surroundings, Religion/philosophy/Spirituality... etc.

There are hundreds of questions.

I also made a little travel book to keep in my purse to make notes on what is happening now in my life.. I can jot down notes to keep track of memories. I've always loved journaling. Oh how I would love to have journals from Grandparents to read about their life growing up...

We write to taste life twice, once in the moment, and once in retospection.

Yarn Happy

Scissorbella decided she wanted me to teach her how to crochet. Last weekend the local craft store had yarn on sale. Perfect timing! We bought a few colors and then came the lessons. Its been awhile since I picked up a hook so I decided to make a few scarfs myself.

I went to another store lastnight! More yarn on sale. I bought some cotton yarn and plan on trying some new things... potholders, etc...
