Loyalty

Loyalty is staying true to someone. It is standing up for something you believe in without wavering. It is being faithful to your family, country, school, friends or ideals, when the going gets tough as well as when things are good. With loyalty, you build relationships that last forever.
Speaking of the Fam Damily... Its seems like every time the camera comes out.. everyone jumps in front of it and fights over who gets to get their pictures taken first. Ya right! You believe that?? Its more like... who can pull the funniest face??? Or even get the prettiest!

Excellence

Excellence is doing your best, giving careful attention to every task and every relationship. Excellence is effort guided by a noble purpose. It is a desire for perfection. The perfection of a seed comes in the fruit. When you practice excellence, you bring your gifts to fruition. Excellence is the key to success.

Cooperation

Cooperation is working together and sharing the load. When we cooperate, we join with others to do things that cannot be done alone. We are willing to follow the rules which keep everyone safe and happy. Together we can accomplish great things.

Scissorbella's BF David came over and played Phase 10 with us while the Snowbirds were in town to visit. We had alot of fun.

Forgiveness

Being forgiving is giving someone another chance after they have done something wrong. Everyone makes mistakes. Instead of revenge, make amends. Forgive yourself too. Instead of feeling hopeless after a mistake, decide to act differently, and have faith that you can change.

I made this card using CTMH D1259- Eastertime. Z1033 - Big Pinks, Z295 - Spring Harmony Big Brads, Z1302 - Colonial White Ribbon Rounds, I love the spring pastel colors the eggs are Baby Pink, Sunkiss Yellow and Amethyst. Paper is X7077B - Sweet harmony

Trust

Trust is having faith in someone or something. It is a positive attitude about life. You are confident that the right thing will happen without trying to control it or make it happen. Even when difficult things happen, trust helps us to find the gift or lesson in it.

This card is a little different than I usually make. It's kinda funky don't you think? I used CTMH Cranberry and Sweet Leaf CS. D1261 - Simple Beauty (March Stamp of the Month), New England Ivy Ribbon Rounds, and Prisma Color Pencils. I embossed the stamped image with black embossing powder before coloring with the pencils. I used my cutting knife Z533 to trim around the image and used 3 D foam squares to attach to the card base.

Moderation

Moderation is creating a healthy balance in your life between work and play, rest and exercise. You don’t overdo or get swept away by the things you like. You use your self-discipline to take charge of your life and your time.

It was 48 degree's Thursday. We had a blizzard Friday and received 2 inches of snow. It was foggy Saturday. Last night it rained. Today its misty and overcast. But look what I found in my front flower beds!!! Its a sign of something great to come!

Love

Love is a special feeling that fills your heart. You show love in a smile, a kind word, a thoughtful act or a hug. Love is treating people and things with care and kindness because they mean so much to you. Love is contagious. It keeps spreading.

Mini Scrapbooks

Tact

Tact is telling the truth kindly, considerate of how your words affect others’ feelings. Think before you speak, knowing what is better left unsaid. When you are tactful, others find it easier to hear what you have to say. Tact builds bridges.

Have I ever told you that I like Geese? Canadian Geese. I have a few of them in my house. Occasionally we have them in the field behind our house. Tanner likes to chase them and bark when they fly low over the house. This picture hangs over our 60+ inch Flat Screen HDTV.

Consideration

Consideration is being thoughtful of other people and their feelings. You consider how your actions affect them. You pay careful attention to what others like and don’t like, and do things that give them happiness.

I made this card using CTMH Serendipity Paper pack and Chocolate CS. I used CTMH Acrylix - For Every Occasion, and Z820 Window Charms. To make the cake, I chose three sizes of the square window charms, stuck them to the Serendipity paper then cut around the edges. I then stacked and glued them to the Chocolate CS and attached a ribbon to the top. The Birthday sentiment is embossed with glittery gold. I attached a strip of coordinating paper inside the flap then tore the top edge so that it should show. CTMH paper is not dyed through so when you tear, you have a white edge. I embellished with 3 gold brads.

Compassion

Compassion is understanding and caring when someone is hurt or troubled, even if you don’t know them. It is wanting to help, even if all you can do is listen and say kind words. You forgive mistakes. You are a friend when someone needs a friend.

I made this card using SU Wild Wasabi, Groovy Guava and Purely Pomegranite CS. Stamp is Verve Visual - Fancy Florals. I embossed the flower pieces with black powder then brushed with bleach to lighten the paper a litttle. I rubbed my black ink pad on the Wasabi paper to distress. Extras are black polkadot grosgrain, Antique copper photo hanger and black brads.

Generosity

Generosity is giving and sharing. You share freely, not with the idea of receiving something in return. You find ways to give others happiness, and give just for the joy of giving. Generosity is one of the best ways to show love and friendship.

Survey

I read this on Sherelle's blog; My Crazy Life and decided to participate.
10 years ago? I was struggling to be a single Mother and Getting to know My Handyman
Things on my to-do list today? Clean house. (I got off work a little early today) Organize my craft table. Post a blog. (here it is) Read blogs. Think about what I want to cook for dinner. Enjoy the evening with Handyman.
What would I do if I were suddenly made a billionaire? Die of Shock! Arise from the dead and hire a financial planner. Retire. Go to St Martin for a month. Figure out how much to share with family. Go into hiding.
Three of my bad habits? 1. Anal – I want everything in order and in its place and done right. 2. I’m too nice and have a hard time saying no, so I help everyone with everything. Most of the time I don’t mind, but sometimes I just need to say No. 3. Too much time on the computer.
Five jobs I've had? 1. Kentucky Fried Chicken 2. Electrical Wholesale- A/R 3. Family-General Contractor business. 4. My current job – Warehouse AP– Corporate office of Winco Foods.

Five things people don't know about me? 1. I’m not very outgoing. My co-workers would probably strongly disagree but that’s because I know them well and am comfortable around them. 2. I am a computer geek. I know a lot more about them than I’ll admit. 3. I remember almost everything that interests me or that I know is important to remember. 4. I don’t retain information about Hollywood Stars, Movies etc… unless the story touches my heart. The gossip magazines don’t interest me. I’ve never been star struck. 5. I am soft hearted. I cry watching commercials, movies, songs on the radio and even when I laugh.
NOW...if you read this, and you have a blog...I TAG YOU!

My Funny Valentine

I went to the beauty supply store with Scissorbella a couple of weeks ago and was looking at the new Valentines collection of OPI (nail polish) The instant I picked it up I knew I had to have it.Photobucket'Met on the Internet'. What a perfect color to celebrate the day! I met My Handyman "Wilt" on the internet about 12 years ago. Back when AOL was new and you had to pay by the hour. I heard about chat rooms from a friend and decided to check them out. Thirty Something seemed to be the popular place to be. I ventured out and into the "Outdoors" room. People were discussing, fishing, hunting, camping etc. Stuff I've always loved. One late weekend night , I received an IM (instant message) from "Izzyloco". I thought to myself, "Who the heck is this stranger talking to me?" ; Especially if he questions his own sanity. We chatted a couple of times a week. I eventually called him DR Bill because he was always giving me advice on my kids, ex, etc. We eventually started talking on the phone and after a year decided we should meet. He flew to Idaho, I flew to Minnesota. He eventually decided to leave his job, his family, his entire life and onto a new adventure in Idaho. We dated for just over a year then decided to build a house together. We lived together 6 years before getting married; mainly because of my 3 teenagers, taxes, child support, etc. We celebrate our 4 year anniversary in April. We've had our differences and challenges, but I love him and know he loves me. Happy Birthday to My Handyman!!!!!

Scissorbella

Scissorbella wanted something beautiful, yet simple to display her new license in. I used CTMH Bamboo CS, Chocolate and Goldrush ink, CandyCane and Yellow stickles and the new Lizzie Anne stamp set - Far East. The twigs are a little crooked but what in nature is perfect?? Is hard to tell but the lotus flowers are layered and dimensional.

Here is a digital scrap page I created using Photoshop. Now that I know what I'm doing it doesn't take much time at all. The hardest part is picking out the paper and pictures. I haven't researched it yet, but I hear you can upload to Kinko's and they'll print on 12x12 paper! This is Scissorbella's homecoming Fall 2004.
