A Walk in the Park

A couple of weeks ago I grabbed my camera and headed to Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise.  It is a nature park.   I was hoping to find a few goslings wandering around but the geese were still nesting.

The turtles were even sunning themselves.

As I was wandering down the path I spotted several deer enjoy the shade back in the brush.

This has been a beautiful spring for the flowing trees.

Isn’t this the best shade of pink ever?

I ended the afternoon attending  a birthday party for this little cutie.

Her brother was a bundle of energy and had fun rolling down the hill at the park.

 

It was a perfect day!

 

Mating Season

When I was on my photo walk a couple of weeks ago I noticed all of the geese chasing each other and starting to build their nests and lay eggs.   If you’ve read my blog long, you know that I love geese.   I even have a few decorative pieces hanging around my house and have even painted a few.

Well Hello!

I also noticed a few other critters.

Tact

Tact is telling the truth kindly, considerate of how your words affect others’ feelings. Think before you speak, knowing what is better left unsaid. When you are tactful, others find it easier to hear what you have to say. Tact builds bridges.

Have I ever told you that I like Geese? Canadian Geese. I have a few of them in my house. Occasionally we have them in the field behind our house. Tanner likes to chase them and bark when they fly low over the house. This picture hangs over our 60+ inch Flat Screen HDTV.



This is one I painted a few years ago. Its with a fishing basket and fly rod.
