Springtime Events

My Granddaughter turned 4 last week.   The kids had a lot of fun at her party.

What could be more fun than a mouth full of candy and playing in the water fountain?

Possibly blowing giant bubbles?

Carter has started playing baseball.  It sure is fun watching seven year olds play.

My friend Melissa sews the cutest outfits.   Her business is Bella Grace Creations.  She made this cute little Foxy Roxy skirt and top for me to give Kendall.  You can also find her  HERE on Facebook.

I learned a fun new stamping technique thanks to another CTMH consultant.  It looks like bokeh.   I will use as a card background.  I haven’t decided what to add to it yet. I love to learn new things!

I hope you’re enjoying your Spring.  I’m looking forward to my Southern California beach adventure to Coronado Island in a couple of weeks.   I better try and get a little sun before then.

Birthday Boy

I can’t believe my Grandson turned 7 last month.  He’s in first grade this year.  He’s getting so big and smart, too.  He’s at the silly age.    Can you tell?

I love this face!

Spiderman took quite a few good hits before he finally fell.

Brush Strokes

I had the desire to get out my brushes a couple of weeks ago.   While out and about last winter, while checking out the holiday bazaars, we saw this cute wood cut out of  the word LOVE that we thought would be so cute for my granddaughters bedroom.  I bought some cute valentines paper while it was in season.

I finally have the wood letters and decided to get painting.

I painted the edges with  Decoart American – Dragon Fruit.  I love the brightness of it and it matches the paper perfectly.  The pictures do not do this justice.  I had a hard time getting some good photo’s while this was hanging on my wall.

I traced the wood letter onto the paper, hand cut them out then attached with mod podge. When that was dry, I put a couple of coats over the entire piece.  I like using the matte finish of the mod podge.

I attached together with some bright pink gingham ribbon and added a wire on top to finish it.

Isn’t it cute? The finished piece is about 24 inches tall.

I also painted this summery flower hang up.

And just in time for Flag day, I finished this American sign.  The lettering is white vinyl.

What should I paint next?   I’m thinking watermelon!

Saturday is the first day of Summer.  I hope you’re is off to a good start!

M4H P52: 5/52

I love when the Grandkids come over.  Most days my house is pretty quiet. There may be a TV on in the background, or I have some music playing.  When the Grands are here, the house is filled with love and laughter.   It’s amazing everything that is going on in all corners.

This morning, the kids were getting a little restless. They had been coloring, watching a movie and getting along pretty well.  They decided to fight over a matchbox car.   Little Miss Kendall is a screamer.     I had to come up with some way to distract them.   I turned off the TV, put on some music and told them to run around and dance.

That was the best thing I could have told them.  They were running and jumping everywhere.   I love their sweet little giggles.   Even though this picture is kind of grainy because of all the movement,  (they were moving fast)  it shows a tiny bit of their excitement.

The word for this week:   NOISE

Here are a couple more shots of the sillyness.

A Walk in the Park

A couple of weeks ago I grabbed my camera and headed to Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise.  It is a nature park.   I was hoping to find a few goslings wandering around but the geese were still nesting.

The turtles were even sunning themselves.

As I was wandering down the path I spotted several deer enjoy the shade back in the brush.

This has been a beautiful spring for the flowing trees.

Isn’t this the best shade of pink ever?

I ended the afternoon attending  a birthday party for this little cutie.

Her brother was a bundle of energy and had fun rolling down the hill at the park.
