M4H P52: 8/52

This Winter seems to be going on forever.  It has been cold, foggy, dark, dreary, snowy, wet and rainy.  Yesterday Mr. Sunshine made an appearance.   I was doing a few chores around the house and decided to open the doors and let some of that beautiful warm light inside.  There was sunshine in my soul and it made me feel full of energy.  Oh how it made me feel like twirling around and dancing.

M4H P52: 7/52

For the last year I have been focusing on becoming healthier.  I have been focusing on eating clean.  I have been focusing on strength training and getting fit.   I am still focusing on these items, but this year I have added a few more things to the list.

I am focusing on my spirit. I am focusing on love. I am focusing on creativity.   What are you focusing on?

This weeks word is FOCUS.

Poppy Birthday

I sat down last weekend and spent some quality time in my craft room.  I’m working on a couple of mini scrapbook projects. I’ll be sharing those in the future.

I also made a couple of cards.

I’m still not very good at quick and simple.  I love all of the details and embellishments. There is just something about all of the layering that I love; and of course the distressed edges, too.

M4H P52: 6/52

We’ve had a fairly dry year.  It can be a tiny bit frustrating watching the news and seeing the massive storms that are covering most of the country.   Here in Idaho we are in a drought.   We have had several years of below snow levels and we run out of water for irrigation mid August.  We’ve had horrible wild fires.  Everything dries up and gets dead and ugly.   We’ve been having community prayers and fasting for moisture.

As a child looking out my window and being able to witness  a scene like this would have been paradise.   As an adult, not so much.  Last night as I looked out my back door, I said a pray of thanks for this blessing.   It’s not quite paradise but it will do for today.

Word this week:  PARADISE

I love when the Grandkids come over.  Most days my house is pretty quiet. There may be a TV on in the background, or I have some music playing.  When the Grands are here, the house is filled with love and laughter.   It’s amazing everything that is going on in all corners.

This morning, the kids were getting a little restless. They had been coloring, watching a movie and getting along pretty well.  They decided to fight over a matchbox car.   Little Miss Kendall is a screamer.     I had to come up with some way to distract them.   I turned off the TV, put on some music and told them to run around and dance.

That was the best thing I could have told them.  They were running and jumping everywhere.   I love their sweet little giggles.   Even though this picture is kind of grainy because of all the movement,  (they were moving fast)  it shows a tiny bit of their excitement.

The word for this week:   NOISE
