Flexibility

Flexibility is being open to change. You consider others’ ideas and feelings and don’t insist on your own way. Flexibility gives you creative new ways to get things done. You get rid of bad habits and learn new ones. Flexibility helps you to keep changing for the better.

I created this card using CTMH Chocolate, Heavenly Blue, and Daisy White CS. A piece of scrap B&T paper. Stampin Up - Bloomin Beautiful stamp. CTMH Heavenly blue bigger brad. Twill Ribbon. Prismacolor pencils.

Courtesy

Courtesy is being polite and having good manners. When you speak and act courteously, you give others a feeling of being valued and respected. Greet people pleasantly. Bring courtesy home. Your family needs it most of all. Courtesy helps life to go smoothly.

Today was my early day off work. Look what I did. I started this last fall and got busy doing other stuff. Today I worked on it again. I found this idea on another blog. My LCS was having a sidewalk sale and I bought these glass jars for 50 cents each! The dollar store has these wood clothes pins 24/$1 My goal is to finish this project tomorrow. (If I can be torn away from the new item in my house)

My youngest Daughter, Ashley, AKA Scissorbella is heading for Lago Agrio, Ecuador the end of May for 10 Days. She will be going on her first mission trip. She will be accompanying a group from Boise Calvary Chapel and Bread of Life Fellowship. This will be a great opportunity to see how they live, build relationships with them and learn about their faith. She will also have the opportunity to share her faith and testimony with them. This will be a genuine and lasting cultural experience for her. She will be out of her comfort zone and learn the everyday struggles this culture deals with daily. Please pray for her as she prepares for the trip. She is trying to raise the $1800 she needs and knows God will provide for her. If you find it in your heart to donate, you can send a check, tax deductable (noting her name: Ashley Davis) to Church Partnership Evangelism at 1300 S Owyhee Street Boise, Idaho 83705.

Integrity is living by your highest values. It is being honest and sincere. Integrity helps you to listen to your conscience, to do the right thing, and to tell the truth. You act with intregity when your words and actions match. Integrity gives you self-respect and a peaceful heart.

I used my new Verve Visual stamp - Anniversary Birds to create this card. CS is CTMH Colonial White and Chocolate. B&T paper is Basic Grey Phoebe. The edges are sponged with Chocolate. I colored the image using my Prisma Color Pencils. I used Lime Green and Cotton Candy Stickles. The ribbon is CTMH natural twill. It's also embellished with misc buttons and Robins nest Spring Bloom baubles. All edges are pierced using my piercing tool.

Gentleness

Gentleness is moving wisely, touching softly, holding carefully, speaking quietly and thinking kindly. When you feel mad or hurt, use your self-control. Instead of harming someone, talk things out peacefully. You are making the world a safer, gentler place.

Only a couple more weeks and it will be Easter. I created this card using CTMH D1259 Easter time. Chocolate and Colonial white CS. Background paper is Basic Grey Phoebe. I used the chalkboard technique. Its been awhile since I've done it and I've seen it recently on other blogs so here goes. You use a dark card stock, stamp your image using white daisy ink. While the ink is still wet and sticky, use a sponge dauber and sponge chalks on the image. It gives you that chalkboard look. I punched the sentiment with my Marvy jumbo punch but it was a little too big so I trimmed the top and bottom edge. I used my piercing tool and pierced holes along the edge of the card and sentiment. I added a colonial white edge anchor.

Thankfulness

Thankfulness is being grateful for what we have. It is an attitude of gratitude for learning, loving and being. Appreciate the little things that happen around you and within you every day. Think positively. Thankfulness brings contentment.

I made this card for my Mama. Hopefully she received it before she went on her roadtrip.
I used the new Verve set Thankful Blossoms. Cardstock is CTMH Chocolate. Background paper is Basic Grey Blush. I stamped the image using Cocoa ink on the striped paper then cut out the images. They are attached to the card with pop ups. I used Candycane stickles to add bling.

Tolerance

Being tolerant is accepting differences. You don’t expect others to think, look, speak or act just like you. You are free of prejudice, knowing that all people have feelings, needs, hopes and dreams. Tolerance is also accepting things you wish were different with patience and flexibility.

Computers! Can't Live without one! They drive me crazy! I spent half the night cleaning up mine. Spybot cleaned a ton of stuff off... UGH! Who know where it came from. My other programs didn't catch anything. I'm still having some weird little programs pop up... I may have to take it to the doctor!

Cooperation

Cooperation is working together and sharing the load. When we cooperate, we join with others to do things that cannot be done alone. We are willing to follow the rules which keep everyone safe and happy. Together we can accomplish great things.

Scissorbella's BF David came over and played Phase 10 with us while the Snowbirds were in town to visit. We had alot of fun.

Forgiveness

Being forgiving is giving someone another chance after they have done something wrong. Everyone makes mistakes. Instead of revenge, make amends. Forgive yourself too. Instead of feeling hopeless after a mistake, decide to act differently, and have faith that you can change.

Trust

Trust is having faith in someone or something. It is a positive attitude about life. You are confident that the right thing will happen without trying to control it or make it happen. Even when difficult things happen, trust helps us to find the gift or lesson in it.

This card is a little different than I usually make. It's kinda funky don't you think? I used CTMH Cranberry and Sweet Leaf CS. D1261 - Simple Beauty (March Stamp of the Month), New England Ivy Ribbon Rounds, and Prisma Color Pencils. I embossed the stamped image with black embossing powder before coloring with the pencils. I used my cutting knife Z533 to trim around the image and used 3 D foam squares to attach to the card base.
