The Grands

Luckily, my Daughter in Law is a photographer and takes the cutest pictures of Carter and Kendall.   She burned a disk for me and I thought I would share a few with you.    She is here local in the Boise area.   She’s offering a Spring special through March 31st.   You can visit her Facebook page;  Memory Lane Photography for more info.

Family

The Fall weather in Boise Idaho has been so beautiful!    Cool in the evenings and beautiful during the day!  I love it!   The leaves are starting to change colors, too.    I took Eric, Jenn and the kids out for a family photo shoot Sunday afternoon.  What a joy to take pictures of these beauties…  and quite the challenge with two little ones wanting to hurry it up and run all over the place.  Here are a few I really like.

Here are a couple that  the sun is really bright in the background so I tried toning them down with an added texture.

Kendall really wanted to get her hand on Carters spiky hair.

I may be a little prejudice but I think they’re a beautiful family and Carter and Kendall are the cutest kids I know..

Together

I finished up my first Silhouette class over at Jessica Sprague last week. I’ve had my Silhouette for over a year but this basic class was great for me.  I learned a lot of shortcuts that will save me time.   You know how much I love saving time!

I finally got this fun little mini album put together.  It started out looking like this after cutting out all of the files with my Silhouette.

I glued and bound all of the pages together with an accordion sheet that I learned how to draw myself and cut out.   I love that I can now create my own SVG files!

I  converted a bunch of pictures to black and white using my Photoshop Elements 10 program then printed them on HP presentation paper.   It’s great to use for this type of mini album.

Here is the finished product.  The pictures are of My Son and his Family.   You know…. the Grands I am always talking about.

The great thing about the Silhouette is that you use Fonts from your own collection.

Products used:   Silhouette SD, CTMH -  Breeze, Autumn Terracotta, Colonial White, Chocolate.  Vintage Photo distress ink. Seam binding ribbon. Lace. Rhinestones. Pigma Pen.  SU papers. Cosmo Cricket papers.  Custom printed papers. Twine. Metal Accents.

I’ve signed up and about to take a more advanced class.  Oh The Places You’ll Go. I hope I learn as much from it as I did the first one!.

Be creative!

Falling Down, Gently Down

See the gently falling leaves…  I LOVE FALL! AMEN!    There is just something about the crisp clean air.  Sunshine during the day with just a little crispness to it.   The tree’s are changing colors and oh how amazing those colors are!

I created this Digital Scrapbook page using the November kit from Little Dreamer Designs. Pictures are from the Family photo shoot I took of my Son and his Family at Kathryn Albertson Park in Boise.

Products used:  PSE10, Canon Rebel T3i, Little Dreamer Designs, Nettio Designs

Blissful

Yesterday was my Daughter in law’s Birthday.   She just turned 30.  I wish I were just turning 30 again.  Well… I guess I don’t…  I’ve experienced and learned a lot since then.

I decided to make her this special birthday card.  I think it turned out pretty good. I created it using Authentique’s paper – Blissful.

I love the color combo.  Yellow and Grey with a touch of Pink and Black.

Products used:   Authentique – Blissful. Shapeabilites. Verve – Sunny Days. CTMH – Black. Copic Markers. Button. Twine. Seam binding ribbon. Sewing tool. Distress ink – vintage photo. Verve – tag die.

A Day of Fun

Wow!  I had a busy day today.  I attended my first holiday bazaar of the season this morning, went shopping with the middle child then had two photo shoots this afternoon.

It was a beautiful day in Idaho..   partly cloudy but chilly.

Here are a couple of silly shots of my Son’s Family. I bought this frame to take some fun shots with a few weeks ago and have been anxious to use it.  Of course the boys were being silly.   Carter is 4 and all boy!  If we could bottle up his energy we would be millionaires. I love his silly grin in the Family photo.

I’m still giggling over that silly grin… It's been a long day. I think I'll go climb under the quilts and read for awhile.

Time Flies

Wow!   Today is my oldest child’s birthday.  I can’t believe he is turning 29!  and on 1-11-11 !!   Where did the years go?

Look how bright eyed and alert he was!   I think he was 2 weeks old here.

First Grade

Senior 2000 -  He went through many stages.  At least he had blonde hair in this one!

Eric and his Daughter Cailin – 2002  (she lived 11 days)

Eric and his Son Carter - 2007

Eric and his Wife Jennifer.

Doing what he loves!   He cooked breakfast for us while on vacation.. Oregon Coast 2009

December 2009 -  The nail in the heart incident and the Miracle!

Tahoe vacation 2010

You’ve been through more than any 29 year old should have to experience.  You’ve grown, and matured and turned into a fine young man.  I’m proud of you.  I love you and look forward to experiencing many more Happy Birthday’s with you!
