Fast Cars and Freedom

I’ve had this Old Corvette stamp for a few years.  It’s from Cornish Heritage Farms which went out of business.   They just recently opened back up and now sell digital stamps.

The last couple of cards I’ve made,  including this one, I’ve pulled out older papers that I have in my stash.   A few months ago I cleaned out my paper closet and gave a lot of papers to my DIL.   I need to use the rest of this old stuff.  This one is from Cosmo Cricket’s paper packet – Wanted

The stamped image is kind of shadowy.  Not super detailed.  I colored it in with a watery wash of Twinkling H20’s.

Products used:   CHF – Corvette stamp. Twinkling H20’s. Seam binding ribbon. Distress ink – Vintage photo. Spellbinders – Label 17. Cosmo Cricket – Wanted. Zig calligraphy writer – black.

Recycle to be Creative

I used a Coffee cup wrap in today’s card.   (See my blog from a couple of days ago to see another sample)   These handy dandy little wraps that keep my Hot Chocolate… well….  hot..come with a few different textures.   I like to add layers and textures to my cards. If you’re a regular blog reader of mine… you probably already know that.

See the pretty flower?  I punched out the flower from the cup wrap then painted it with a copper paint, then distress with distress ink – Soot.   I also scrunched a smaller circle that I punched out of an old book page, scrunched it up and distress it and added a brad to the middle.

I used a Cornish Heritage Farms stamp that is no longer available… The company went out of business about a year ago but just a few days ago I received an email that they may have sold all of their images to another company.

Oh!  I used the Viva La Verve June week 2 sketch template for my card.

Night Before Christmas

I used CHF stamps – Night Before Christmas.  They are no longer in business.  I love all of their stamps that I have.   These are fun and a little vintage.

I made 24 of these.   I don’t get very detailed with my Christmas cards.  I make over 100 of them so they need to be quick.

Products used:  CHF – Night Before Christmas. Kraft cs. Su – Cherry Cobbler. My Minds Eye – Holly Jolly. Glass Glitter. Seam binding ribbon. Staples. Distress ink – Vintage photo. Chalks.

Cuteasaurous

Day 5 and all is well…..  CUTE! CUTE! CUTE!  I love this card.  I’m sure the recipient is part of the reason.

See Sundays post for a link to the details of the anni-verve-sary of Verve Stamps.

If you are a regular reader, you know my Grandson loves Dinosaurs and Dragons.    Everywhere he goes… he’s on the hunt for them.  Seriously…  They’re  flying in the air all around and his handy dandy weapon of choice  (his favorite stick)  is always within easy reach.

I thought this would be the perfect time to make a card for him.  He’ll turn 3 on September 15th and his favorite color is orange.

I think pretty much everything on his wish list involved Dragons or Dinosaurs. I’ll be shopping soon…  Maybe I’ll find something fun while I’m in Lake Tahoe for a week the first part of September.

Products used:  CHF – Little Boy.  Basic Grey – Lime Ricky. CTMH – Sunkiss Yellow. Stickles. Copic. Distress ink – Vintage photo. Nestabilities.

EnJOY!

Going Green

That’s what everyone seems to be doing these days.  Going Green.    Last weeks Tuesday Trigger over at Moxi Fab World  was to create a card using Green.  Well…  Green it is!  I’ve noticed in the art world that there have been alot of monochromatic creations.

Since today is St Patrick’s day…. I guess it’s as good a time as any, to share a green card.

Products used:   CTMH – Clover meadow. Topiary. CHF – Toile Background.  Verve – Circular Sayings. Flower. Maya road chipboard. Tim Holts crackle paint – Shabby Shutter.  Hardware. Ribbon. Stickles.  Tim Holtz – Antique photo.
