Wrapped Around My Heart

 

I took the time to make a few cards a couple of weeks ago.    I was so engrossed in creating that I didn’t even write down everything that I used.  

I made a couple of 3x3 cards.  They are always quick and easy to put together.

The Happy Birthday stamp and papers are from Close To My Heart.

The Wish Big is from Unity.  Papers are from the CTMH My Reflections set -  Later Sk8r!

 

A dear friend of mine retired last week.    She’s been dreaming of having time to do some quilting and sewing so I dug out this PTI stamp set to make this card.

This card has all kinds of fun layers.  I even snipped a few little feathers to add to it.

Beautiful Blooms

I love flowers,  birds, pink, etc…  What’s not to love?

I made this pretty pinkish card a few weeks ago and the recipient just received it.  So now I get to share it with you!

I know she loves birds, and I just happen to have this cute little bird stamp.   My tulips were in bloom at the time and the colors were so vibrant I tried to match a couple of them.

Products used: PTI – Beautiful Blooms II, Kraft cs.  CTMH – white craft ink, bubblegum. Spellbinders – Fancy tags 2.  PTI – Take 3 – summer.  Verve – Making a statement. Washi tape.   Stretchy pink ribbon.

Twinkling

I pulled out my twinkling H2O’s from LuminArte’ and my water brushes to color these pretty little flowers.  I drew the leaves with a pigma pen and colored then, too.

I embossed a piece of cardstock then lightly sponged over the impression with Distress ink – bundled sage. Each little flower and leaf is cut out with my sharp little scissors and attached manually in various heights.

Products used:   Cuttlebug emboss folder.  Twinkling H2O’s. Distress ink – bundled sate, vintage photo.  CTMH – Bubblegum, Hollyhock.  Pigma pen. Twine.  PTI – Tiny tags stamp and die.  Pen-Tough – white. Stampin’ UP! – Growing Green. TE crystals.

Birds of a Feather

I made this pretty card a few weeks ago.   I love the colors of the My Minds Eye paper.    I cut a few strips of paper and randomly flagged the bottoms of them.

The little bird and flowers were cut out with my Silhouette Cameo.  Don’t you just love the addition of the black polka dot washi tape?

I bought this fun button from Pick Your Plum.  They have fun daily product you can purchase.  A lot of crafty fun stuff.

Simply Divine

The last couple of cards have been simplified.   What is with all of the September and October birthdays?  I’ve been making cards like crazy and haven’t even thought about Halloween.   I’m pretty sure that is not happening.

This card was very simple and quick.  I used a PTI ribbon die and several My Minds Eye papers.  All of the edges are inked and distressed.   I staggered and stacked them at various heights as I glued to the base.   Notice all of the rounded edges?  I haven’t done that for a while.

 

I finished it off with a birthday sentiment stamped on a die cut from Spellbinders Labels 17.

Another page for my October pages.  I pulled out this fun aqua polka dot bag and glued it to a sheet of cardstock,  The edged is wrapped around and glued and made to fit.

Notice all the different washi tape’s that I used?

I used PTI stamp set Grunge me to stamp some fun shapes all over the bag. Notice the fun bright pink tissue paper that I stuffed in the top of the bag?

Heart to Heart

I love all of these mini little Heart to Heart stamp sets that PTI is putting out.    They make me happy.   And I love this fun little curly edge die cut.

I didn’t really do much stamping on this card.  Just the ‘happy’ sentiment, the little heart on the tree and the tree trunk..  Everything else is die cuts.   Quick and easy is my motto lately.   Well…  it is for making cards.

Grunge Me

No problem there.  I Grunge and distress just about everything.  I used the PTI stamp – Grunge Me.  There are a lot of fun, random shapes and I’ve been using it on all kinds of cards and journal pages.

I just stamped layers of the shapes then added a strip to make a clean edge.

I’ve been using an old sewing tool a lot lately.  The last few, I’ve been adding not so straight stitches.

You’ll Never Know Dear

I love sunflowers. They remind me of a warm sunshiny day.. They also make me think of the song You Are My Sunshine.

You make me happy, when skies are grey.

I really like this CTMH stamp – S1205 – Friendship Bouquet.  I colored with my copic markers.   Once I had it framed with scalloped edge cut, it still seemed kind of blah..   I grabbed this tag out of little cup that I throw misc things in and stamped the sentiment on it, along with another stamp.   The perfect touch.
