I bought this new telephoto lense for my camera a few weeks ago.

Yesterday I went out to the backyard to read and look what I spotted. I hurried and grabbed my camera before Tanner spotted them too. Aren't they the cutest couple? Did you know that Quail mate for life?

I started my new position yesterday as an IT Programmer.. (same Company) My brain is full and buzzing! My new boss gave me these books a couple of weeks ago for some lite reading. I received this many more today.

Where was your first job?? Mine was KFC - I started when I was 16 and worked there for about 2 years. It was a fun job! I got to know all the "regulars". I remember when I would get off late, we were allowed to take the extra chicken home. A couple of times a week I would bring a barrel or two home with the various kinds. My dad would hear me come in the door and get out of bed to have his midnight snack :) Here is a retro commercial. I wore a uniform just like this one! Turn off the music at the bottom and watch this fun video!

I wonder if this started my obsession with chickens??? My coworker bought me this new one. I look like this some days. Especially this week!!

Like a Chicken with Its Head Cut Off

Its April Fools day and I'm too tired to figure out something to fool you with... Its FYE (Fiscal Year End) at work and I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off!!!

I grew up a country girl and viewed this kind of stuff so it doesn't bother me.. View at your own risk!!



Ever have one of those days????

Silly Girls

Sometimes even grown girls like to be silly. A couple of times a year, we will draw names and do secret pals at work. Its fun to give and receive fun little gifts. Sometimes they're edible, sometimes they smell, sometimes they're funnny! A couple of years ago I received a rubber chicken. The poor thing! He's been given so much attention that he lost one of his feet. His new name is stubby; and he's about to lose another! Its hanging on by a thread!

Poor stubby!! Everyone takes their anger and stress out on him! He hides in the corner of my cubicle but everyone seems to find him. He's been stretched, twisted and almost beheaded!

Isn't it obvious??? Do you think we'd treat one our girlfriends like this???

The Biggest Winner!!

The Company I work for wants us all to be healthier! The risings costs of health care is enormous! I work at the corporate office and we are Guinea pigs! "Literally!"
We are doing "The Biggest Winner" challenge for 3 months effective Nov 1st.
We had our blood drawn Yesterday to check cholesterol etc. We have a 3 month membership to The Athletic Training Center (across the street) so we went over and got weighed and measured. We have team Tshirts and we're getting a book and pedometer. There will be many prizes awarded based on many different areas. Some people don't need to lose weight but need to get fit! This will be a fabulous challenge! Its great doing it as a group. All the executives are participating. If this works out.. they will eventually get it going company wide. After the 3 months we will have a very discounted membership to the fitness club. We have a tour and orientation Thursday morning! I made an appointment with a personal trainer for Thursday afternoon! Ok you girls that work with me and read this! The game is on!!! My goal is 10 pounds a month! Do you think that is reasonable? Maybe I should wait to make my goal until after I meet with the trainer? I'll keep you posted!!!

FIESTA!!

Today was our company picnic. WINCO FOODS!! It was alot of fun! It was a football theme so of course everyone had to support our local BSU Bronco's!!! GoodWood catered the BBQ and we had Ribs, Chicken Brisket, Beans, Salad etc. There was volleyball, a waterballoon fight and a football toss! OH! and lots of nice prizes! It was fun seeing everyone's spirit!!

Oh What A Beautiful Day

I was reading a couple of blogs and thought I would try this out for myself. This is all new to me! My youngest daughter is in cosmotology school. Today was my day to be pampered! She cut and colored my hair! She does a fabulous job!! My hair is naturally curly and it gives her good experience to work with it! It was a busy week at work. Quarter end AGAIN! One of my coworkers turned 80 on thursday! She is an inspiration to me! So active and always on the go! I hope I'm that spunky when I am 80!! Except I'll be retired long before then.
This is a birthday book I made for her. She absolutely loved it!!
