This weekend , early in the morning before the sun warmed them too much,   I went to my front yard and snapped some pictures of my tulips.   I wish they would last all summer.  They are so beautiful and vibrant.

I made this card for Maria's Scrap Pile Saturday..    I love using up my scraps!   Go find more out about it HERE

A dream is a succession of thoughts, images, sounds or emotions which the mind experiences during sleep.

Throughout history, people have sought meaning in dreams or divination through dreams. Dreams have been described physiologically as a response to neural processes during sleep, psychologically as reflections of the subconscious, and spiritually as messages from gods, the deceased, or predictions of the future. Many cultures practice dream incubation, with the intention of cultivating dreams that were prophetic or contained messages from the divine.

Love is any of a number of emotions related to a sense of strong affection[1]and attachment. The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my husband"). This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

As an abstract concept, love usually refers to a deep, ineffable feeling of tenderly caring for another person. Even this limited conception of love, however, encompasses a wealth of different feelings, from the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love to the nonsexual emotional closeness of familial and platonic love[2] to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love.[3] Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.

Imagination, also called the faculty of imagining, is the ability of forming mental images, sensations and concepts, in a moment when they are not perceived through sight, hearing or other senses.

Imagination is the work of the mind that helps create fantasy. Imagination helps provide meaning to experience and understanding to knowledge; it is a fundamental facility through which people make sense of the world, and it also plays a key role in the learning process.

Imagination is the faculty through which we encounter everything. The things that we touch, see and hear coalesce into a "picture" via our imagination.

Imagination is an experimental partition of the mind used to create theories and ideas based on functions. Taking objects from real perceptions, the imagination uses complex IF-functions to create new or revised ideas. This part of the mind is vital to developing better and easier ways to accomplish old and new tasks. These experimental ideas can be safely conducted inside a virtual world and then, if the idea is probable and the function is true, the idea can be actualized in reality. Imagination is the key to new development of the mind and can be shared with others, progressing collectively.

Popsicle Yummy

Another Scrap Pile challenge from Maria.   She posts these every Saturday.  I made this a few days ago…  I’m finally sharing.

I keep all of my scrap pieces of paper in this plastic container.   Its been great using up some of them..

This weeks challenge had to have the color orange in it.   Not a color I use allot.   As I was browsing through some other blogs ,    Michele made this really pretty card doing opposite nesting with nestabilities.   I gave it a try too…

The circle cutouts are nested inward.   The bottom layer has the smallest circle.

Aren’t these fun popsicle colors?  I love the combo.

Products used:   CTMH – Sunny Yellow, Bubblegum. Bo Bunny. Verve – Star Struck. Ribbon. Button. Stickles. Twine. Twinkling H20’s.

I made this accordion card a few weeks ago and forgot to share it.
It makes a fun little card.    First cut a strip of cardstock 10” x  2 1/4”.  Score every two inches then fold into an accordion.   I used my Nestabilities label punch for the outside.  Cut or punch two of these.  (Must be bigger than your inside accordion.   Glue one to the front and one to the back.

Stamp and color images.   Attach a ribbon around the outside of book to tie shut.    Write your sentiment and give to someone you love.  You can make these in various sizes.  Just adjust the measurements so that you can score them evenly.

Products used:   My Minds Eye papers.  CTMH – Cranberry Red, Topiary.   Glitter. Prismacolor pencils. Ribbon. Nestabilities. Distress ink. Flourishes- Strawberries.

Paper Roses

I looked at the Tuesday Trigger challenge over at Moxi Fab World and it triggered this memory hidden deep in my brain.  I was reading a blog a few months ago and seen these amazing paper flowers.   Well…   today is the day I pulled that memory strand out and made a few.    What fun!   I wish I could give credit to the blog….  but I don’t remember that part.

Warning…  I took lots of pictures to show these off.

Basically you cut about a 5 inch circle; cut it a little wavy.  You then spiral cut it to the center.  (Leave a nice circle at the end to attach spiral to). Now start winding to the center. When done, let is spring open a little and squirt some glue down the center.    I inked the edges of the paper before winding mine.   When dry, I brushed on some Shimmerz to make them sparkle.   I then cut out some leaves and antiqued them, too.

Products used:   CTMH – Tulip, Cocoa.  SU Papers. Shimmerz. Tim Holtz – Distress ink – Tea Dye.  Digi Scripture verse – Sweet N Sassy. Ribbon – Etsy -  MemrieMare's Shop. Nestabilities.
