Wisteria

This was a pretty simple card to make. I used my Nestabilites die cut and cut all layers using the new Basic Grey Wisteria paper. I crinkled up the paper, layered it and sewed a button in the middle.

All the edges are sponged with CTMH Purple Pansy ink. I added some pretty place ribbon and stamped the CHF Ornamental Beauty sentiment, etc..

Life goes on

This week we lost celebrities and friends. Some more famous than others.

Ed McMann - Who didn’t know that voice?

Farrah Facett - Every teenage boy had her poster on his wall. Every girl wanted her beautiful locks. She put up a big fight and lost..

Michael Jackson - A musical genius! Kind of strange… but who isn’t?

My friend Robb - Had a heart of gold! Worked his entire life to support his family of 6 children. (Two are currently serving LDS missions). He went to college later in life. Graduated May 1, 2009 at age 48 with his Masters Degree in Psychology. He was killed Tuesday night, riding his Harley home from his new job as a Counselor for a Boy’s Home. A car turned in front of him. As quick as that, he’s gone.

Please pray for their families.

I'm In Love!

Wow! I’m really having fun with photo editing! Its amazing! I’ve been digging out all kinds of photo’s and adjusting them. Some old… some new!

Scissorbella went to New York City a few years ago; her Senior year of High School. They had a Class from Long Island that they kept in contact with all year and learned new things. The New Yorkers came to Idaho for a week and the Idaho kids went to New York for a week. Here are a few pictures she took while there. These were taken with her cheap little Kodak camera. They make me want to go visit!

Sorry if this seems like a lot of pictures! I did get a little carried away. I had to save the best for last!! We don’t have billboards like this anywhere in Boise!

Photo editing

I was playing around on Photoshop Elements 7 tonight. Its kinda fun to see how different photo’s look when adding different actions, or effects.

PSE7 can use actions. Not like the original Photoshop program but there are a few out there. I found several at The Coffee Shop. There are great tutorials on how to install and use them.

Here are a few more: I love the burnished retro look!

He's practicing his cheezy grin here!

Scripture Challenge

Here are the other cards I made last week. I’m finally getting caught up. The words are Joy, His Presence, Glory, Fruit, Desire, Creator, Wisdom, Time.

I create these using PSE7 (Photoshop Elements 7) and Digital kits from my favorite on line stores. I then print them out on HP presentation paper. Cut them out. Glue to 4x4 coasters. (both sides) I then add a little extra bling. Sometimes ribbon, sometimes stickles. sometimes flowers etc. I punch a hole in one corner and put them all on a large binder ring. By year end I will have 26 cards, for a total of 52 scriptures.

Color combinations

I was reading about color trends and color combinations HERE. I decided to make my own little color combo cards . I matched their color choices with Close To My Heart ink pads. These colors look great together and will help me with quicker card making.

You can also check out this place. There are hundred’s of CTMH color combinations. Just click on one or two of you favorite colors, then search.. There are endless possibilities.
