Scripture Challenge

Here are the other cards I made last week. I’m finally getting caught up. The words are Joy, His Presence, Glory, Fruit, Desire, Creator, Wisdom, Time.

I create these using PSE7 (Photoshop Elements 7) and Digital kits from my favorite on line stores. I then print them out on HP presentation paper. Cut them out. Glue to 4x4 coasters. (both sides) I then add a little extra bling. Sometimes ribbon, sometimes stickles. sometimes flowers etc. I punch a hole in one corner and put them all on a large binder ring. By year end I will have 26 cards, for a total of 52 scriptures.

Extravagant Worship

For Christians, worship expresses reverence, awe and praise to God. Because true worship is personal, it has unlimited styles of expression and can stir up strong emotions. What is your worship style? Is it quiet and dignified or extravagant and spontaneous?

Some people may be embarrassed by your worship style or criticize you. God’s honor is the issue here – not your own honor or the honor of those around you. At times, your praise or worship of God may even be offensive or embarrassing to others. But what people think of you or your mode of worship is irrelevant. Don’t let fear of others rob you of the wonder that comes from joyful abandonment to God. (Proverbs 29:25)

Worship style is not the real issue here; heart attitude is. True worship is a spirit-to-spirit encounter with God. Do you lift your hands in praise? Do you bow with your face to the floor? Do you dance? Whisper? Clap? Shout? Think about your most comfortable style of worship. Now take a deep breath spiritually and try something new. if you tend to have a quiet and reflective worship style, put on praise music, in the privacy of your home, and dance before the Lord. If you usually sing and shout to the Lord in praise, slow down, to experience the peace of contemplative worship. Whatever your style, whatever your circumstance, whatever your condition – praise him!

I created this with PSE7 printed on HP presentation paper and glued to a 4x4 coaster. I used Black stickles to make the guitar stand out. Digi kit from The Sweet Shoppe - Pop Rocks.

Catching Up

Today I’m trying to catch up on my Scripture Challenge cards and the His Holy Name Challenge. I made 8 - 4x4 digital pages for the scripture challenge and 2 - 6x6 pages for the His Holy Name challenge.

I’ve had a headache since last Wednesday and haven’t felt real well. During our yard sale yesterday I had several bloody noses; and again today. Two years ago I had to have my nose cauterized, which was an awful horrible experience and I don’t want to have it done again. Basically a vein in my nose cracks because of dryness. I use a humidifier, saline spray in my nose, moisturizing gel.. etc… Its been raining for weeks now and the air is pretty humid. I can’t believe this is happening! Its not just a simple nose bleed. It gushes and in a split second my shirt is covered with blood. It takes about 20 minutes to stop…

I decided to take it easy today… basically not doing much but be creative. ( I did do two batches of laundry) . I haven’t had a bleed for about 4 hours. I’m crossing my fingers and toes.. It I have to have it cauterized again… I’m getting anesthetic! My nose was packed for a week last time! Nothing like having a big ole tampon hanging out the nose!

Anyway… I printed out my projects. Now I need to cut them out. Glue to the 4x4 coasters and 6x6 scrap pages and add a little extra bling. I hope to share them with you this week!

OH! and I made a new blog header.. Did you notice? All using Photoshop elements 7

Be Mine

I created this digi page shortly after valentines day.

Photobucket

I decided to trim it and turn it into a hybrid 12x12 page. I cut the picture and printed on my HP premium presentation paper. I used papers from CTMH My Reflections - Notebook. I embellished with some Maya Roads scroll chipboard, painted with Tim Holtz Distressed crackle paint, A Dimensional Elements heart covered with pink chunky glitter, some felt flowers and a sheet of making memories Noteworthy.

Photobucket

Craft Warehouse has their 12x12 scrappage frames on sale right now so I framed this and will take it to work to hang in my work space. The frames have kind of a spring attachment so it works well with embellished pages.

Since its framed, my camera flash was glaring on the glass. I tried taking one without flash. Neither picture turned out very well... It really does look nice.

Photobucket

I love the ease of digital.. but I love the look of the real thing, too. and I have alot of product that I need to use up. I can't make cards fast enough. I'll be making more hybrid projects in the future.

Beauty

I found this awesome digi kit from 2Peas in a Bucket. It was featured in the newest Digital Scrapbooking magazine. I used it to make my newest scripture challenge.
Word: Beauty. Scripture: 1 Peter 3: 3-4

Photobucket

I created this digitally, then printed it on HP premium presentation paper. I created it into a Hybrid project. I find that the HP paper is the best for printing digital. I cut out the image and glued it on my 4x4 coaster. I then wrapped it with a ribbon and added some stickles.

Photobucket

Don't be concerned about outward beauty or fancy hair styles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. You should clothe yourself instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God. 1 Peter 3: 3-4

Products: PSE7, Urban Junque, Organic brushes - 2 Peas. Lavender, Baby Blue stickles. Ribbon.
