Generations

My Mom was here for a week. We had a BBQ over Memorial Day weekend and I took alot of photo's. One that I was sure to get was our four generation picture.

Why do I look so short? Are you wearing stiletto's Mom? Normally I'm a couple inches taller than her! Thats OK. I'm taller than my Grandson!

One Note

Do you have One Note? It's a MS Office product. You can do alot of things with it! It is a great organizational tool! Some of the notebooks I've created are. Cards. Digi Scrap pages. Scrapbook ideas. Art ideas. Templates, etc.. Inside each notebook there are tabs.

Picture a 5 subject notebook you buy for school. Each subject has a new tab.

So for my Digi Scrap notebook; I've created a new tab for each Digital Company I buy from. And under each company I have a tab for each kit. I take a screen shot example and attach it to the notebook. This is a quick reference for me so that I'm not clicking through a ton of files on my hard drive trying to find something.







Do you know how to take a screenshot and add it to your blog? Open the page you want to take a picture of. Hold down your Alt key the same time as your Print screen button. Open up your photo editing program. Mine is PSE7. Click on the edit tab.



On the top tool bar, click on File, then New, then click on Image from Clipboard. Adjust your image as desired, then save as... Name it and change to JPG.


Now you have an image you can add to your blog. Isn't that easy?

No Fear

Memorial Day weekend we had a Family BBQ. Carter loves having his Dad throw him in the air! He would laugh and scream! When Eric put him down... Carter would cry for more!

Signature

Like my new signature? I had Nina do it for me. I hope you're all having a fabulous weekend. I'm having family over today for a BBQ. It will be nice to sit around and visit. With our busy lives and different schedules it's not easy to get everyone together. ... Did you hang your flag and have you thanked a veteran yet? What about flowers for loved ones that are no longer with us? I went to the cemetery yesterday and put flowers on my Granddaughter, Cailin's grave. It would have been her 7th birthday.

Imagination

Like Father... Like Son.....

We had an exciting evening Wednesday. My Mom is in town so she came over for dinner and to visit. My kids were over and we watched the finale of American Idol. During the show... Scissorbella was in the kitchen giving haircuts to Eric and Carter. Carter got to go first. After he was done he was on a sugar high and was running around the house laughing and being silly. (see yesterdays picture).

Some of the performances on AI were pretty cheesy. Mom was excited to see Rod Stewart. She has a cat named after Maggie May!! When they announced the winner, we stood and cheered. Congratulations Kris! You were my favorite!

Blog Crazy

I not only create Hybrid Digital projects and Digital scrapbook pages... I create blog headers for myself and other family members. I use my Photoshop Element 7 and various digital kits, brushes, and fonts. Its all about layering. There are tons of free products and tutorials available. On my far right sidebar towards the bottom, I have a list of my favorite digital places.

The Big One!

Well.. We had a fabulous weekend camping... We caught 100's of Crappie. The water was really high and the fish were not quite big enough to keep. We had alot of fun though. Our Friends, Skip and Teresa met us there and camped in the space next to us. It was alot of fun sitting around the camp fire in the evenings and visiting. We even roasted Strawberry marshmallows!

The first afternoon there, we were fishing Brownlee Reservoir on the Oregon side. We had been catching Crappie all day long. My Handyman decided it was time to try for catfish again. The bait sat in the water for about 45 minutes.. His pole started shaking and the bells started dinging. We knew it was a big one! He was so excited. HOLY SH__! He was yellng; over and over! I think its a sturgeon! I told him his 12 pound test line would have snapped pretty quick if it were . His adrenaline was really pumping. It took about 15 minutes to get the Monster to shore. I had to use the net and the fish was over twice as long as the net. We were guessing probably 15-20 pounds. An old timer next to us said he guessed about 7 pounds. It was a fighter. We crammed it into the cooler we had. It was curled like a horseshoe inside. We continued to fish for a while longer but not another bite.







On our way back to camp, we stopped at the local bait shop slash beauty shop slash liquior store. LOL! Small town! The guy had a fish scale so he came out and weighed it for us. 26 pounds and 6 ounces! It measured 37 1/2 inches long! He said he hadn't seen a Flathead that large for quite a while. Too bad we were a week early for the Memorial Day Catfish Derby!

Does he look a little Giddy with that big ole grin on his face??







Aren't they ugly? They remind me of prehistoric sea creatures! They sure do taste good though.

Look Alikes

While scanning old pictures, I came across this one of my Dad when he was a young boy.
He was the youngest of 9 kids. I don't know how my Grandma raised them all on her own. His dad died when my dad was only 15 months old.



At the same time I found this picture of my baby sister, Krinkle.
Don't you think they look like they're related?

Spring Tree's

I created this card using CTMH emporium. Heavenly Blue CS. Basic Grey - Phoebe. Stickles - Lime Green. Martha Stewart glitter. Twinkling H20's. Stamps - CHF - Spring Tree's. CTMH - C1368 - Treetops.

I stamped the imaged on several types of paper, cut them out and layered them. I tore a couple sheets of green to layer the grass.

Each little piece is cut out and attached to the front.

I even decorated the inside.
