“ And I Quote”

Another project for Scissorbella's wedding ….   This one called for the power tools.

I sketched a “Quote” bubble on some of my 1/4”  sheet  birch plywood and cut it out with my scroll saw.  I used my belt sander to smooth out the edges then finished it off with my palm sander.
I then stained with some walnut stain…   and grabbed my new bottle of Chalkboard paint.  Let me tell you…  This stuff ain’t cheap!

Yea!   Finished project.

I tried to get My Handyman to pose holding it..  but he was afraid that I would post a picture of him on my blog, on facebook and other random sites,  and that he would be so famous he would never be able to go out in public again.    So.. the dog will have to do..

I can’t tell you exactly what it will be used for… but it will be during the reception and will be fun and goofy.

Beautiful You

I created this card for a couple of challenges.    Mojo Monday….  and   Moxie Fab World’s  Picking up the Pieces.     I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted to do..  The Mojo Monday sketch is perfect for the pieces  at Moxie but what stamp would I use?    I decided to doodle  some little flowers using my black pigma pen.   I colored them with twinkling H20’s then cut each little flower out.

I stitched 4 layers of cardstock together which happened to all be from my stash of scraps.    Notice I even doodled around the 3 pieces of white in the center?   I cut out little strips from the green pattern paper for stems of each flower, then added a little more embellishing. OH! and check out the pretty poppy.  I purchased them from the Etsy shop JUJU Crafts.    Sentiment is from Verve.

Products used:   CTMH –  Vanilla cream, Autumn terra cotta, Colonial white. My Minds Eye. Poppy. Nestabilities. Pigma pen. Verve – Celebrating You. Twinkling H20. Stickles. Ribbon.

I used Scraps of paper and a stamp that I’ve never used before.   Go visit her HERE. She makes the pretties cards and paper projects.

Spring Fever

Here are a few more photo’s from Saturday of My son and his family.     My Grandson was so funny…   There were dozens of Geese in the park and Carter was having a blast chasing them..  I’m surprised they didn’t chase after him…
He is quite the chatterbox..   and dramatic.   He had me laughing the whole time  and he sure knows how to say cheese when it’s picture time.    Even if he’s not looking at the camera…  Cheese!

Celebrate Color

Guess what I read about over at Moxi Fab World?    Texture + Color = Fun!!    I created a fairly quick and simple card for their Tuesday Trigger challenge. It’s colorful!

I embossed the Kraft CS with an embossing folder that I bought at Archivers.   Sorry I’m not sure the brand…  I know it’s not Provo Craft.  I rubbed white craft ink over the embossing to make it pop a little then added some Holiday Red ink.

products used:   CTMH Holiday Red, Clover meadow, Kraft, Breeze, Daisy White.  B1345 – Forever In Love.  Emboss folder. Buttons. Twine. Prismacolor pencils. Nestabilities. Tim Holz – Antique photo. Ribbon. Staple.

All about ME

Since it’s my Birthday week, (Thanks to my Family and Friends for all of the Birthday wishes!)  and It’s all about ME, I’m going to post a few more things that I love.     Who am I kidding?  It’s always about ME!  Isn’t that what our blogs are?  We post about things that we love or hate and that are important to us…

These are all things around my house, that I love, collect or have created.   I Scrapbook, I make cards, I paint, I collect, I create, I take pictures. I have stuff..  probably too much stuff…  I’m pretty good about getting rid of most of the old stuff.  I don’t like too much clutter..     It’s all just STUFF!   For some reason… we love our STUFF!    Don’t sweat the small stuff..

By the way…  did you notice that I have an Etsy shop?   I’m not sure how it will do…  I listed a couple of things and hope to sell some of my cards in the future..    Link is at the top right.   I bought a 500 ct package of these paper bags.  I finally sewed a bunch of them, created a pattern and I’m now selling them.
