I love Cute little Bums!

The cutest little boy I know stayed with me Friday night. We played outside, Ate Carmel Corn, watched Nemo and Shrek and went to the Park Saturday Morning.. I was reminded that Potty training is not fun.... he peed in the toilet, then pooped on the floor and tried to clean it up by himself... by spearing it everywhere. He is quite vocal with is opinions... at the playground he was growling at the other kids (pretending he was a dinosaur) and was yelling Bull Shit at all of them.. We had to have a little talk and time out At least he wasn't dropping the F-bomb! It was quite the adventure!

Like Father! Like Son!
Watch closely for the little attitude on his face.

30 Years

This weekend is my 30 Year class reunion.   I thought about going… for a few seconds.   I’ve been so busy and consumed by other things that I really want a few weekends to do pretty much NOTHING!   Is that wrong?  I really have no desire to attend the reunion.  I’ve had a few emails trying to persuade me…   I can’t believe it’s been 30 years…  What happened in 1980??

More Wedding Photo’s

Edited to add a few more photo's to the slide show...

Well… Here are a few more wedding photo’s.
My Daughter in Law – Jennifer took some fabulous photos.   You can visit her HERE.

My Mom has this old chair that was my Great Grandmas.  It came out of a photo studio in Salt Lake City and is over 100 years old.  It was used for wedding photo’s.   Ashley was really exciting to use her Great Great Grandma Spillman’s chair.

Brush Strokes

Well..  I can hardly go a couple of days without coming up with more projects.  I haven’t picked up my paint brushes since last Winter.  I decided to gather up some surfaces, pulled out the scroll saw and started planning.  Sunday  I cut out a few pieces of wood and the newest projects have begun..

While I was in the garage working… we had quite the show going on outside.   That old Mr. Thunder sure can holler loud!  It was pouring rain so hard we had a little creek running down the middle of the Burbs.   I can’t believe its the Summer Solstice and we got down into the 30’s a couple of days ago.     On a positive note…  we’ve only had to use our sprinklers a couple of times.

Here is a sneak peek of one of the projects.    I like the country, prim look.

Vintage Pyrex

Guess what?  I picked up the rest of my fabulous vintage finds at the consignment shop.  I’ve had them on layaway for a few weeks…

They have so much stuff to look at…  I could easily buy and buy… but I don’t like clutter…  so I control myself  and just look…    They have these really awesome old leather boots.  I’m thinking they would look great with flowers planted in them and placed in my flowers.   HHmmmm….   still thinking about it.

Sweet Pea

I’m really liking this PTI stamp set – Sweet Pea.  I have loads of ideas forming in my brain.
Sweet pea (Lathyrus odoratus) is a flowering plant in the genus Lathyrus in the family Fabaceae (legumes), native to the eastern Mediterranean region from Sicily east to Crete.
It is an annual climbing plant, growing to a height of 1-2 m where suitable support is available. The leaves are pinnate with two leaflets and a terminal tendril, which twines around supporting plants and structures helping the sweet pea to climb. The flowers are purple, 2-3.5 cm broad, in the wild plant, larger and very variable in colour in the many cultivars.
Sweet peas have been cultivated since the 17th century and a vast number of cultivars are commercially available. They are often grown by gardeners for their bright colours and the sweet fragrance that gives them their name.

Products Used:   CTMH – Petal, Vanilla Creme.  PTI – Year of the flower – Sweet Pea.   Bluebird lane (Etsy)– ribbon. Button. Twine. Pin. Copics. Stickles. Corner punch.
