Announcement

Ok.. I can officially break the news.... I have a new job!! anyway I will in a couple of weeks! I have been with my current employer for 22 years. (Forever) I work at the corporate office and there is not very many opportunities for change. A couple of weeks ago the IT (Information Technology) Department posted a job. I applied to be a programmer and they are willing to do some training. Whoo Hoo! Since I am already a computer geek, this is right up my alley. My new boss will also use me as an advisor because I have so much knowledge of the User side of things. I'll be doing ALOT of studying!!

My other news is... I'm just learning how to cook! What the heck? I bought chicken hind quarters yesterday and planned on BBQing them. We have this huge monster grill and obviously I need to learn how to control the temperature. I had the burners on low so that I could slow cook. This is what happened after 10 minutes... the temperature was up to 550 degree's and some of the leg bones were ashes! I'm such a good wife providing delicious meals for my handyman! I call it Blackened Chicken!

Congratulations on your new job. My husband is the griller in our family. One time I decided to surprise him -- we had a charcoal grill at the time; when he came home, all of the grilling utensils were on the ground---their cords burned up from the large fire I started---whoops, I have not grilled since.

Congrats Michelle on the new job! That's great. I'm sure it was a tough decision to try to spread your wings a bit -- but now look at all you have to look forward to! Fun.

I have to say I cracked up at your chicken. I have made some doozies in my day. If it's any consolation, I've never grilled and I have a feeling my chicken would turn out just as crunchy!!:-)

Have a good one!
