The Biggest Winner!!

The Company I work for wants us all to be healthier! The risings costs of health care is enormous! I work at the corporate office and we are Guinea pigs! "Literally!"
We are doing "The Biggest Winner" challenge for 3 months effective Nov 1st.
We had our blood drawn Yesterday to check cholesterol etc. We have a 3 month membership to The Athletic Training Center (across the street) so we went over and got weighed and measured. We have team Tshirts and we're getting a book and pedometer. There will be many prizes awarded based on many different areas. Some people don't need to lose weight but need to get fit! This will be a fabulous challenge! Its great doing it as a group. All the executives are participating. If this works out.. they will eventually get it going company wide. After the 3 months we will have a very discounted membership to the fitness club. We have a tour and orientation Thursday morning! I made an appointment with a personal trainer for Thursday afternoon! Ok you girls that work with me and read this! The game is on!!! My goal is 10 pounds a month! Do you think that is reasonable? Maybe I should wait to make my goal until after I meet with the trainer? I'll keep you posted!!!

More Painting

I painted for hours this weekend. I took about 10 things down to The Wild Ivy Giftshop. She is closed Monday and Tuesday to set up for Christmas! These are a few more things I'm working on! I set up the small Tv on my table and I've been watching Boston Legal DVD's. I've never watched it so I'm starting on Season One!

Costume

Ashley had a Halloween party to attend last night and decided to go as Minnie Mouse. She only had to do a couple of simple things. She had almost everything. She even has bright yellow pumps on!! The only thing left are the white gloves. Isn't she cute??

Brushes

I bought myself a present! New brushes! they were on sale at The Artist Club. I hope they work good!!



Its time to get busy painting for the holiday season! I've painted a few things to take to Wild Ivy to sell! She puts up her holiday display next week!! My favorite thing is SNOWMEN!!

Graduate

Ashley graduated from Cosmetology School yesterday! It took her just over a year! She takes her boards November 19th. Then she'll be licenced to make everyone look beautiful!! She is currently working at Trade Secrets. They have a couple of stylists and sell professional products to the public. She is excited and can hardly wait to start her new profession!!

Sisters

One of my friends at work has a new grand daughter - She was born about 1 1/2 weeks after Carter - I made her a little scrapbook for the new big sister. She's been taking alot of pictures of her new baby sister.

Birthday

My Friend Jayme had a birthday over the weekend. I made her a journal and a fun little card using CTMH Free Spirit B&T paper and CTMH stamps set - Legendary Moments. She likes Bright things!!

Family

Today was a pretty Fall Day. I took Eric, Jenn and Carter down to Indian Creek to take some Fall pictures. We've been having rain almost everyday. The sun was a little bright so I need to edit some of the pictures. Here is a good one of them. Carter is now 5 wks old

Puppies

Who can resist puppies. My sister Cristie had new babies born yesterday!! They're purebred German Shepherds. The mother Tabyana is pure white and the father Bandit is Silver!! I'm sure she'll be posting pictures soon!!

Christmas Cards

Today was my Christmas Card Workshop. We made everything using CTMH product. Everyone made 16 cards and learned how to make the Origami Christmas Tree. It was another fun time!

Let It Snow

Here is the birthday card I made today for The Snow Queen. Her birthday is Wednesday. She's my boss at work and her favorite thing on earth is SNOW!!! Wednesday is a snow theme in our department. Hopefully she'll get it out of her system and the snow dancing will end!! I used stamp set "Too Much Snow" by Renee of Plum Purdy. I used some pretty shimmery purple and blue card stock and some glittered and embossed B&T paper. The little snowflakes are embossed and are tied with stretchy silver cord. I used frosted lace and waterfall stickles to add a little bling!

Spiffed UP!

I had to post this picture. Eric and Jenn had a wedding Saturday so they bought this little outfit for Carter to wear! Isn't he cute all spiffed up???

I know! I know! Enough with the baby pictures! I'm a proud Grandma so you know there will be more!!!!

I guess I better go get crafty! I need to make a birthday card for the Snow Queen and need to start painting Christmas projects. Wild Ivy is putting up her Christmas Displays right after Halloween! I hardly have anything painted. I just can't get in the mood when its in the 70's outside!!

Beautiful

Today was a beautiful Fall day!!! It had to be in the low 70's . Ashley and I did a little shopping then spent a couple hours with Eric and Jenn. Carter turned 4 weeks old yesterday! Isn't he a cutie???

Colors of Fall

The leaves are turning and there is a bit of a chill in the air. I love this time of the year! I tried to take a few pictures but it was a little too windy and my camera wouldn't focus very good. I managed to get one good one of our maple tree.

I made this card today for a friend who lost her dad last weekend. I used Lizzie Anne Designs - Little bits - Jolies Fleurs.I also doodled a little bit with a white gel pen and used CTMH Sept SOTM - Doodle Alphabet.

Ok. You all crack me up! I thought I was anal and a perfectionist!!! I clicked on the card to enlarge (first time I looked from that view) Geez! You can see every imperfection!!! LOL!!! Thats ok though! I tell everyone I teach that most people won't notice such small imperfections! Right????

Todays card was created using CTMH Free Spirit Level 2 B&T paper. I used CTMH stamp set - On My Mind and Impression Obsession stamp - Damask Floral. I used CTMH Sept SOTM - Doodle Alphabet and CTMH bigger brads. I used a water brush to paint the flower.

Today's card was made using CTMH paper packet - Enchanted Level 2. I used CTMH stamp set - Goodness of Life. I embossed one of the CTMH dimensional elements using Stampin Up Holographic powder. I love the bling!! It's so sparkly!!

Treasure

Today's card was made using Close To My Heart Caprice level 2 B&T paper. I used CTMH acrylix stamp - Treasures of the Heart and CTMH bigger brads for the flower's center. I used my water brush to paint the flower.

Witchy Treats

I love this set! Renee is a fabulous decorative artist and has many books and patterns for sale on her Plum Purdy Website. I love her new rubber stamp sets. I made this card using her Witchy Treats set. I used an water brush with my inkpads to give the watercolor effect. I used CTMH - Enchanted L2 B&T paper. I Embossed the little yellow chipboard star.

Fall Leaves

I made 5 new cards today! I'll post one a day. This first one is made using CTMH Enchanted L2 B&T paper. Autumn Terra Cotta, Olive and Vinyard Berry CS. Stamps are Papertreyink - Faux Ribbon and Stampendous - Fall Season. I used Versamark and chalks on the leaves.

Tanner

Tanner is one spoiled dog!!!! I caught him laying on my bed today. He KNOWS that it is off limits. I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots. He gave me the "Don't Bother Me" look. He didn't even lift his head. He just followed me with his eyes until the last shot. If only I knew what is going through his mind. "Probably, "I want a Treat"!!

Fall Card

This is the card I made at my friend Judy's Stampin Up party! I always have a fabulous time when I attend a party that Janae demonstrates. She always teaches me so much! We used chalks on the black card stock then stamped the leaves with versamark. It lifted the chalk off the card stock! Who knew??? It was a fun simple card! She showed us so many fabulous ideas to use on the chipboard! I never thought about embossing it!

Well, now that I have so many ideas floating around inside my head... I'm heading for my stamp table to create some more

World Card Making Day

Today is World card making day! OH! an excuse to stamp and create all day!! I'm going to a stamping gathering later today. It will be fun to vistit, learn and create. I will post later today some of my creations! What are your plans for the day???
