Cackling

Edited to add that this is a Male Pheasant - (Rooster)

We hear this fellow cackling loud and proud almost every day. He lives in the field behind our back yard and has some kind of harem out there. He’s very elusive and hard to see. My Handyman spotted him a couple of days ago. The evening sun was shining on that bright comb of his. I put on the telephoto lens, pulled a chair up to the fence to stand on and took a couple of shots. They’re not very good but you get the idea.

EnJOY!

Michelle;
What kind of bird is that? It's not a rooster is it? I doesn't look like a rooster? In one of the pictures it looks like the head of a parrot. Great pics of him. What an accomplishment spotting him. lol.
