Wonderful Wishes

I made a card!  Shout for joy!   It was pretty simple and quick but at least I accomplished something.

IMG_3641_edited-1

I tore out a couple of old pages from an old book. (I find at a thrift shop)  I then used my Beautiful Blooms die cuts to cut out a couple of shapes.   I then stamped a polka dot image using the coordinating stamp set on each flower.

IMG_3645_edited-1

They are distressed a little bit with Vintage Photo ink, then layers and topped with a button.

IMG_3647_edited-1

I really love this color combo.  Aqua and Red.   Oh so pretty!

Kidlets

These two adorable kidlets spent the day with their Grammy (that would be mwah) last weekend.   We had a great time.   I sure do love them!

GG Dort came to visit. Carter spent his time running through the water and chatting with GG Dort through the pool noodle.

_MG_3617_edited-1

Kendall sat on GG Dort’s lap and chattered away in serious thought.  She is such a busy body.   I’m surprised she sat still for a few minutes.

They sure do grow up fast!  I’ve got to enjoy every minute that I can.

Fly Away

There are days that I would just like to fly away and hide from the world.   It doesn’t happen often, but it does happen.  Do you ever feel that way?

I created this card using the PTI stamp set – Fly Away… along with the coordinating die cut.  Aren’t the colors fabulous?

I’m hoping by me continuing to sign off by saying…  “Be Creative!”  That I too may be creative.  I haven’t had much time lately and I am so far behind in a couple of classes that I’m taking.  I’m a pretty anal time manager, but… I just haven’t found any extra yet….     It won’t be long and I’ll need to start on Christmas…  Soon!

Week 29 – Me

I was playing around with my Motorola RAZR a few days ago and snapped this photo with my Camera then edited it with the Be Funky Ap and posted to Instagram.

I didn’t get a chance to take any other photo’s so this is the photo I submitted for Project 52 over at My Four Hens.

This is a picture showing off my new glasses.  I only wear them in the evenings when my eyes are tired and I can’t stand wearing my contacts anymore.

Week 28 – Time

I spent time with my Mom last weekend.  We went to The Lavender Festival at a little local farm.  They had a few vendors showing off their handmade crafts and several booths with products made out of the lavender, include foods.

This is for Project52 over at My Four Hens.

This little guy was buzzing around with 100’s of his friends spending his time among the pretty flowers and I was spending time with my Mom.

Genuine

I love these colors.   When I put this card together it made me think of a warm, comfy quilt. The papers are from the Authentique set – Genuine.

IMG_3494_edited-1

I cut a bunch of coordinating 1x1 pieces of paper, scraped and distressed the edges then attached them to the card base.

I stamped, distressed and cut out the flowers then layered them before attaching to the card.

Smokin Hot!

Monday is got up to 109* in Boise.  We’ve been over 100 all week.   I do hear rumors that it’s supposed to cool down tomorrow (around 98).    On top of the heat, we are surrounded by fires.  Our air quality is bad.   The skies are grey and the sun looks like this when it wakes up.

_MG_3486_edited-1

Kind of pretty even though the air is so bad.    Hopefully this isn’t the start of a very hot, dry and smoky summer!

Week 27 - Addicting

The theme over at Project52 for week 27 is something I am obsessed with or find addicting.    I decided to take a picture of paper.   I love designer paper.   There are so many pretty patterns and colors.   I use it for all of my paper crafting projects.  Almost all of the paper that I purchase is 6x6 unless I get it from Close To My Heart then it comes in 12x12 kits.

Hopefully I’ll make a couple of projects this week to share.  I went on a road trip to North Dakota/Minnesota last week.   We left Wednesday and drove 9-12 hours a day and arrived in Fargo Friday afternoon.   Thursday I woke up and could hardly walk.   I’ve never had back problems but my lower back (Sciatic) was really bad.   I tried everything to help with the pain.  (Nothing like traveling and being miserable.)   Saturday morning I bought some pain patches and Aleve and that helped, a little.    After Flying and sitting on the Airplane for several hours I finally made it home.   Hopefully a couple of visits to the Chiropractor will help.      Enjoy your week!

Hog Heaven

I am in Hog Heaven this month.   I splurged and bought a couple of new sets from PTI which I have been sharing with you.   This is another card from the Farm Fresh set.    My little sister used to collect pigs.  Every time I see one I think of her.  LOL!  That sounds kind of strange.   It’s not a bad thing….   She just likes pigs.   I don’t think she has much of her collection any more.

IMG_3259

I punched out two pigs from white cardstock and rubbed them in my Baby Pink ink pad.  I was laughing thinking it was probably much better than a mud puddle.  ( I know…  more strange thoughts.)

IMG_3258

I cut some RicRac strips using PTI die cuts and added some twine and a button for a border.

I am a touchy, feely type of person.  Who doesn’t love lots of hugs and kisses?

Products used:    Echo Park – This and That.  PTI – Farm Fresh.  CTMH – Baby Pink, Desert Sand, Pear, Sunflower, Breeze, Juniper, Chocolate. Twine. Button. PTI – die cuts. Distress ink – vintage photo. Sewing tool.

Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves

I’m not really sure why I titled my blog post this….   The purple color that I used for this card is called Gypsy and for some reason the Sonny and Cher song popped in my head.   My head is full of Silly Random knowledge that appears for no apparent reason.

IMG_3183

My middle child, Janelle turned 28 a few days ago.   She loves these colors, so I made her a card using the new PTI stamp set – Lovely Layers.    Janelle is my free spirit, hippy child, musician.   She knows no strangers and I love her dearly.

IMG_3184

As you can see… the flower has several layers to it.

Sunshine On My Shoulders Makes Me Happy

The new Hello Sunshine stamp set from PTI is so much fun!   I love all of the sayings and many ways to make rays of sunshine.   I also purchased the coordinating die cuts but haven’t given them a try yet.   This is only of those crisp clean cards without a lot of embellishing.

IMG_3261

Doesn’t it look awesome?   It doesn’t have to be just rays of warmth.  I’m picturing fun rainbow colors, too.

IMG_3264

IMG_3262

We’ve had some pretty hot days the last couple of weeks.    I’m going to be driving to Minnesota to visit My Handyman’s family and to attend a wedding in the next couple of days.   I know it’s going to be HOT and HUMID and  MISERABLE.   I hope the air works in our hotel room!    I know I’ll be missing our HOT and DRY Southwest Idaho Desert.

When PTI came out with this Farm Fresh stamp, I knew I had to get it..  There are so many fun things running through my mind.   I also purchased the farm animal die cuts that coordinate with it.    I have a feeling I’ll be sharing several cards from this stamp set.
