Birds and Butterflies

I made these cards using the 4th week Viva la Verve challenge template.

It’s a pretty basic template but I didn’t find it very special or maybe I just didn’t have my Mojo and not in much of a creative mood.

This is what I came up with.

I stamped the images with versa mark ink, then rubbed them with various shades of chalk.  I covered them with Diamond glaze to make them nice and shiny.  After they dried over night I cut the images out.

Notice the flower?

Products used:   Retired CTMH paper packet.  Hollyhock. Chocolate. Vanilla. D1452 – Find Your Style. Chalks. Diamond Glaze. Homemade paper flower. Vintage brad. Pin. Satin Ribbon. Cocoa ink.

Scallops

I made paper flowers again out of an old book using a scallop punch, Distress ink – vintage photo and Glimmer mist.   Sometimes I make these with a basic small brad to hold them together then glue a big fun button in the middle.

I sponged the edges of the flowers with vintage photo ink then layer three scallop punched shapes.   I sprayed them with various colors of glimmer mist then scrunched them all up. After they were dry I gently pried them open.  They are a great addition to cards and other artsy projects.

Suggestion:   I use old books that I find at thrift shops that have pages turning yellow.   I also make sure they’re either inspirational, or children’s books.  You don’t want an offensive word right in the middle of your special flower.

Bless Your Heart

I love the Sweet N Sassy digital images.   Korin is so creative.  She also has clear acrylic stamps.

I made this card for The Sweet Stop challenge.  These challenges are great because they provide a card template…  and its fun to see and share everyone else’s creativity.

Aren’t these colors fabulous?

Products used: Sweet N Sassy digital image. Basic Grey – Phoebe. Copic markers. Seam binding ribbon. Button. Twine. Sewing tool.

Explore

I’ve made a few cards but have  had to wait a few days to share.  I don’t want to spoil the fun you know… The recipient should be the first one to enjoy.  Isn’t that only fair?

I made this for last weeks Mojo Monday Challenge…  The bird was stamped with Versamark ink then chalked.

Products used: CTMH – C1408 – Live Inspired. X7105B – Emporium. Chocolate. Cocoa. Sweet Leaf. Twilight. Chalks. Ribbon. Embellish brad. Nestabilities. Sewing tool.

God’s Girl

It’s been quite a while since I’ve made a digi scrap page.   I try to make one about myself a couple of times a year. You all should scrap about yourselves. For future generations.  Imagine if our Grandmothers had scrapbooks.  Wouldn't that be a treasure?

I’m Nuts for You!

Well today is the day.   The special day of LOVE.   Why do we save it up for one day?   We should show love every day.   Love for our Heavenly Father. Love for our Family.  Love for our Fellowman.  Love for Ourselves.  If we love our Heavenly Father and do as he commands, the rest will fall  into place.

I love all of my blog readers and I love comments.

Hello Sunshine!

I don’t have a lot of pictures of  Janelle -  aka Rockstar Chick.    Even thought it was a little breezy with a chill in the air, it got up to 60 degree’s yesterday so we decided to go to the big City of Boise and shoot some urban photo’s.  Everything was shot on either Capitol Blvd or at the Boise Train Depot.   What a fun day with my Daughter.

This was taken at the Train Depot looking down Capitol Blvd towards the State Capitol and downtown Boise,

With an added texture:

Look Cherie.  I stumbled upon the red wall!   The chalk quotes were still on it..

Babies Galore

There have been so many babies born the last couple of months!   I went to a baby shower last night for a coworker.  It was a lot of fun.  There were a lot of friends there and Allison got a lot of baby gifts.   Her and Jason decided that the baby’s sex is going to be a surprise.

Back in the day when I had all my kids that is how it was.  I didn’t know what any of mine were before delivery.   I kind of like the surprise aspect.. but then again it’s nice to know what the baby will be and the preparation is much easier.

I made this card for the Mojo Monday challenge.

Products used:   CTMH Sorbet. PTI – Bitty Baby Blessings paper. Verve – To the Moon. Copic markers. Pearls. Vintage photo ink. Seam binding ribbon. Nestabilities.
