Happy Birthday Nelly!

Today is the middle child's birthday. Rockstar Chick is 24 years old! I can't believe that my children are almost my age! She is a people person. Always smiling and giggling. When she was about 3 years old we were shopping at the mall... ( way back when Penney's was in Karcher Mall and the Boise Mall was still a farm field.) I was looking at clothes and as kids always do, she kept hiding under the round clothes racks and would peek out and giggle at me. Before I knew it... DEAD SILENCE! I freaked! I called her name! I looked everywhere! I was positive some weirdo had kidnapped her! What kind of Mother was I? I was frantically looking and noticed a crowd of people gathering not far from me. I ran over there and who did I find? My darling daughter posing with the mannequin's. Standing completely still, striking a pose. People were watching her, whispering and pointing. They didn't exist to her.. anyway she didn't act like she noticed them. I called her name... She looked at me... started giggling.. and ran to me. She grabbed my hand and on our way we went.

Just Like You

We are giong to have another HOT weekend. Over 100! Ugh! I knew it would go from below normal to 100's! I don't make enough masculine cards.. This one is made using CTMH - X7098B - Sarsaparilla papers. The stamp is C1300 - Just Like You. I used my square nestabilities and stamped the image with Black ink. The ribbon is z1034 - black collection and the copper brads are z299 - basic collection.

Sonata

This card was created using CTMH C1288 - Playful Petals and X7076B Sonata paper.

Iused my Square nestabilities to cut out Buttercup and Colonial White CS. The flower petals were colored with Prismacolor pens and cout out individually and attached. The center is an extra large black brad. The Black Bitty Brads- Z1051 are also CTMH.

This is another new stamp set I received from Our Daily Bread. It's called - Fishers of Men.

I used CTMH X7065B- Rustic Trail. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch holes and attach the large antique copper brads. (watch this video to find out how to use a Crop-A- Dile) I colored the image with my prismacolor pencils then added a little twine .

Sweetness of Summer

I love watermelon! Hopefully some of this summer sweetness will be available soon... I'm talking about local, juicy, red, ice cold, sweet melon. Its so good!

I stamped this card using CTMH B1311 - Summer Sweetness. The CS is Cranberry Red, Daisy White and Olive Green. I sponged and peirced some of the edges and added a little bling with lemon lime and fruit punch stickles. I finished it off with some red gingham ribbon.

Have you noticed all the bird stamps? This one is CTMH D1217 - Free Spirit. I used CTMH Chocolate CS and SU Afternoon Tea papers. I stamped with chocolate and breeze ink. I embellished with a chocolate ribbon, flower and green brad. The baubles are Water..

Sing of your Love

The sun has been hot this weekend. The birds are out singing this morning. What a glorious day. I created this card using my new stamp set from Our Daily Bread- Sing to the Lord. I used American Crafts paper for the flowery background. The CS is CTMH Hollyhock and Daisy White. I used prismacolor pencils to color the images. I embellished with a Z294 Hollyhock brad, White bigger brad Z299 and Crystal stickles.

Pet Hair

I've had my Dyson Animal vacuum for several months now. I was very impressed when I first got it... I figured it was sucking out years of dust and dog hair out of my carpets. I filled the cannister twice the first time I used it. ARGH!!! My old vacuum is a Kirby which I thought also did a fabulous job! ROTFL PMP!!! I'm still impressed! I consider myself a pretty clean person. I dust and vacuum once a week. I have light carpet so the pet hair doesn't really show up on it.

My house is pretty small so I don't have alot to vacuum. Here is what I got today...

Take a closer look! See all of the light pet hair! Covered in dust and dander! EEEEEWE!!! The dust mites love my house! There are probably billions of them crawling everywhere!

This is the culprit! The spoiled rotten 75 pound lapdog Tanner!!

Day Off

I had the day off Friday and I had the pleasure of spending it with my Grandson Carter. I tried to take a couple of pictures of him with me.. He didn't want his picture taken at all! He was too busy playing with toys! We layed on the floor, played with toys, sang songs and read books!

Enough pictures!!

While he was taking his afternoon nap, I was busy making homemade pasta. I knew the kids would be over for dinner so I decided to make my own spaghetti. It turned out really good. I have a blade that makes macaroni and lasagna, also. My handyman wants to make sausage. I'll let you know when that happens. We bought a smoker a few weeks ago.

Karma... study hard, think quickly, talk gently, act frankly...

Sweet Birthday

I love all the Cupcake stamps everyone is coming out with. I created this card using CTMH cardstock, Bamboo, Baby Pink, Key Lime and Daisy White. I cut out with my rectangle nestabilities. The stamp is Inkadinkado - Birthday Cupcakes. I colored the image with my Prismacolor pencils. I added some bling with Cotton Candy and Lime green stickles. The ribbon is Elements- Uptown Khaki.

I made this card using CTMH black and Daisy White cardstock. I used CTMH D1182 - It's a Party and D1283 - Say it in Style. (I'm giving one of these away- see blog candy 6/14). I used my score pal to emboss the bottom and right side, then sanded a little to make it stand out. I embellished with Black bitty brads Z1051 and white bigger brads from the Basic Collection Z299. The ribbon is from the black collection Z1034. I used Daisy white and black ink.

Peonies

We're finally having some warmer weather. It was around 80 over the weekend. When you walk into my back yard, you can smell the sweet peonies that are blooming. It was late afternoon yesterday and the sun looked so pretty shining on them. I had to take a few pictures! They're so beautiful! I think you'll agree.

Sweet

Well.. about half of us showed up for the girls day out. I had a grilled chicken bruschetta sandwich. It was really good. Most of us work for the same company and have moved around to different area's, so everyone was catching up on the gossip. It was nice to visit.

We went to a movie after. Some went to What Happens in Vegas. Scissorbella and I seen Kung Fu Panda. I'm a big kid at heart.

I made my sister a card thanking her for planning the fun.
I used my new Square nestabilities. The card stock is CTMH. Olive Green, Bubblegum, Chocolate and White Daisy. I used Inkadinkado - Birthday Cupcake. The ribbon is Elements, Uptown Red. I stamped the image with black stazon and used my prisma colored pencils. I sponged some of the edges with Watermelon and added bling with Crystal stickles. She loved it!
