You are a Treasure

I really love the yellow/grey color combo.  The colors have to be kind of vintage; not real bright.  This card really came together well.    The new My Minds Eye 6x6 paper packs are fabulous!   This paper came from the Sunshine pack.

When I first put the card together I had added yellow buttons.  At the last minute I took them off and added the Pink.   I think they’re the perfect touch.

Products used:  Verve – Sunny Days.  My Minds Eye – Sunshine. CTMH – Olive Green. Nestabilities. Verve – label die. Buttons. Twine. Seam binding ribbon. Rhinestone. Distress ink – Vintage photo.

Brown Paper Bag It!

Paper bags are quite versatile.  I’ve made several things using paper bags.  I’ve wrapped presents.  I’ve made flowers.  I’ve made various scrapbook designs. I’ve even used it for a fine sandpaper. And…, now I’ve made a card.   I love it..  A small lunch bag makes a 5x5 card.

I printed a digital image I got over at Mo’s Digital Pencil.   I colored this sweet image with my Copic markers.   The flower is homemade. (I can’t remember the last time I used a flower that was store bought)

This card really needed a little extra bulk and support so I added a little something to the inside, too.

Products used:  Brown Paper bag. My Minds Eye – Lime Twist. Copic Markers. Mo’s digital image. Bling brad. Distress ink- vintage photo. Handmade flower. Glimmer mist.

Goals and Dreams

Do you have goals you’re trying to reach?  Are you a dreamer?  What are your dreams?  Is it hard for you to reach your goals?  Have you lived any of your dreams?

I think it’s great to have goals and dreams; but I also think they need to be achievable so that a big fat disappointment doesn’t happen.

This Words of Wisdom stamp set from Verve is the best!

I love the colors in this new paper pad from My Minds Eye.   Paris and Co.   is the perfect name for it.    I used a sheet of the paper from the set to make the flower, too.  And… don’t  you just love the vintage buttons?

I used my Copic markers to add just a touch of color to the verse.

I’ve been know to add a small touch to the inside of my cards, too.

Products use: My Minds Eye – Paris and Co.  Verve – Words of Wisdom. Flower punch. Glimmer mist. Antique brad. Homemade paper flower. Brad. Vintage buttons. Twine. Seam binding ribbon. Distress ink – Vintage Photo.  Copic Markers.

My Lil Super Hero

My Grandson just turned 4.   Carter loves Super Hero’s and received several as gifts for his birthday.

Several days ago while at his house, he showed me some stickers he has.  Captain America, Thor, Hulk, etc.   I pointed at one and said “ The Incredible Hulk”.  He quickly informed me “Grammy,  He’s The Hulk.  He’s not one of the Incredible’s !”   I guess he told me!

When I found this Digital image from Digi My World.. I had to get it.

I printed the image on good heavy cardstock then colored with Copic markers.

Products used:   Copic Markers.  CTMH – Dutch Blue.  SU – Poppy.  Tim Holtz embossing folder.

He was excited to show off the result of the blue frosting from his Birthday cake.  Here is is with his Aunt Ashley and his Great Grandma Dort.

Photoshop Actions

Most photographers use some kind of editing program for their digital photos.  Photoshop is the #1 program.  I use Photoshop Elements.  It is perfect for my photo editing and my digital scrapbooking.

Most photographers use actions to help with their photo editing.  Florabella is a fabulous place to purchase some of these actions.  She has actions for both Elements and the full version of Photoshop.

I pulled out my tripod put on my 50mm lens and took a photo of myself so that I could experiment with some of these actions.  If you load the layers version you can adjust the layers to your own liking.

The Before picture is SOOC. The After picture is edited with a Florabella action.   The before picture looks pretty good… but editing adds so much more.

   Black and White                                Classic Vintage

   Drama                                                   Envy

  Rich Color                                              Timeless

   Vintage Spring                                     Wheat

Which edit do you like the best??  I think I like the TIMELESS action the best out of these samples.  Its part of the Florabella LUXE II set. If you get on her mailing list… She sends out fabulous coupons all the time.  I’ve never paid regular price for any of my actions.

I’ve always liked Black and White photo’s, too.

Enjoy!
