Adventure of a Lifetime

I had a request for an outdoorsy wedding card.   It’s not the usual run of your mill frilly card.  Totally non-traditional.  This is what I came up with.

Anna Wight’s Whipper Snapper stamps are so fun!   What do you think?

Products used:   Whipper Snapper – Great Outdoors. My Minds Eye – Bohemian. Copic Markers. Twinkling H20’s. Aqua pen. SoufflĂ© pen. Silhouette. Shimmerz. Liquid appliquĂ©.

Photo Templates

I’ve been playing around with my PSE7  and creating a few photo templates.  Very simple but adds a little extra to the photo.  This one has two layer masks.

Friends Near and Far

Awhile back… a bloggie friend of mine, Erin, sent me a message that she may be heading to Boise and wanted to meet up.   Way cool!   Her husband had some business to take care of and she would probably tag along.   We’ve read each other’s blogs for a few years, and  She is quite crafty.   Erin crafts over at Inky Smiles and she helps her husband make the fabulous ink stacks like the one in my craft room.  You can read more about them at her Stamper’s Storage site.

We met down at the Capitol City Market Saturday morning and drooled over all kinds of fun stuff.  Boise has a large refugee population from Africa, Bosnia and a few other places.  There are some big community gardens that these families take care of, then sell fresh produce at the market.  They really rely on donations to get the gardens going.

Three or four streets are shut down every Saturday morning from 9:30 – 1:30 right in the heart of the city.

We could get in so much trouble if we lived near each other!   It was a great day!

Hello Cupcake

Cupcakes still seem to be the rage!  They have them in all kinds of shapes and sizes for stampers.  They have Cupcake Wars on TV.  You can find recipes galore on line.  I found a great Cupcake cutting file to use with my Silhouette.

MIA

If for some reason you get about a months worth of blog posts this evening..  When I posted my newest post…(The Spirit of Summer). ..suddenly I was missing posts back to mid July.   What?  Where did they go???   I looked everywhere.  They were no longer in my Windows Live Writer file either.    Who knows what I did??

Luckily….   I use Carbonite..  which is a wonderful on-line backup program.   Every night my PC is backed up to their site.

I found the backed up files and restored them all, then sent them as drafts again to blogger.    It’s really weird because once I posted them, they posted to the correct days and still have all the comments.    WHEW!   My day is complete!

The Spirit of Summer

Oh to be young again; wild and crazy and have no fear. Fun is what it is all about.

Who cares who is around and watching?

Saturday morning I met a bloggie friend down town at the Capitol City market. She is from Utah and was in town for the weekend. I’ll post more about that later.

Watching these children playing in the fountain reminds me what Summer is all about.

Enjoy!

The {A} Family Revisited

I’ve been busy editing over 200 photo’s that I took last week of this Family. The park is beautiful this time of year.

Sometimes the ones that don’t turn out quite perfect are the cutest.
