Idaho Governor's Mansion Gets View of Giant Phallus
Late Wednesday or early Thursday, vandals used herbicide to "burn" the image of a 60-foot-tall penis in the grass beneath the Idaho governor's mansion.
The area belongs to the J.R. Simplot Co., an agricultural conglomerate that donated the mansion to the state in 2004. The "artwork" is below the mansion's grounds in an area popular with the public.
People ride ice blocks down the slope in hot weather. A Simplot representative said that the company was taking steps to remove the phallus. The mansion is under renovation and the governor was not home at the time.
