Week 24 - Texture

This week’s theme for Project52 over at My Four Hens is …..  Texture…   Yesterday I went on the Boise Photo Walk sponsored by Love That shot.   It was a small group of about 15 of us.    I took a few pictures of textures and really liked this one.   Probably because it has my favorite color.   (stay tuned for more photo’s from the walk).

Wonderful Day

I don’t often stamp simple cards.   This one was simple but I love the clean look of it.   All I did was stack the flower stems as I stamped them, punched some flowers then stamped them and added a little bit of embellishing.

Week 23 – Seasons

Well….  The theme over at My Four Hens for Project52 last week was  Seasons.    I took the picture last week but have been busy working on saving files and getting ready for my new computer.   It’s here and runs so fast!  …. so I’ve been busy loading photo’s so that I can share everything.

In Idaho,  It seems that we have a different season almost every day.   It can be a scorcher most of the day  then a cool front comes in and drops the temp 30 or 40 degree’s.   Crazy weather!   I was trying to find the elusive hummingbird in my back yard the other day.   It was a nice, calm and pretty day.   I snapped this picture looking up through my maple tree towards the sky.

I would say that that day was a perfect Spring seasonal day in Idaho.  (About 75*)   I love the look of the sunlight shining through the green leaves.    Stay tuned for this weeks theme….  Texture.

Humming Along

I have a hummingbird feeder in my backyard.   We’re out in the desert and don’t often see hummingbirds.   Last summer I spotted one feeding.  This year I haven’t see any.  :(   Those darn little elusive birds.   My Handyman see’s one every day.  We even have a tiny little nest in the tree next to the feeder.

I remember my when I was a child my dad had the prettiest flower gardens.  The hummingbirds loved the bright colorful zinnias.   Maybe I need to put more flowers in the back yard to attract more?

I created this card using the Flourishes set – Humming Along.  I love it..

It is colored with Copic markers.   I love the Teresa Collins papers that I used.

Bright and Sunshiney

I love these Pure Innocence  stamps by My Favorite Things.   They are simple and fun to color.

I used paper from the Basic Grey set – Picadilly.  There are a lot of fun bright colors in it.  The stamped image is colored with Copic Markers.

We’ve had weird weather this Spring;   But that is typical for Idaho.  Monday it got up to around 85 degree’s, then a thunder storm blew in and dropped the temperature to 53*.  It was dark and windy.  The thunder was roaring and lightening lit up the sky.   Power was knocked out all over the Treasure Valley.   Over 200 power poles were knocked down and there were tree’s everywhere.  A big ole tree just down the road from us was hit by lighting and on fire.

I’m really looking forward to some more bright sunshiney days!

Products used – Basic Grey – Picadilly.  Copic Markers. MFT – Sinshiney Day.  Button. Twine. Baubles. Seam binding ribbon. Stickles. Distress ink – vintage photo.  Old sewing tool.

Week 22 - Yellow

My photo for Project52 over at My Four Hens was taken at a Saturday Auction that I attended with My Handyman.    The only camera I had on me what my phone so I took an Instagram photo of this bright yellow boat sitting out on the Auction yard.
