Busy as a Bee

I've been really busy painting and making projects...  and I can't really post everything because some of them are custom orders and ... well...   I don't want to take the chance that someone may take a peek at my blog.  I've started on a few Christmas cards. I learned a new way to make paper flowers. I went to a Stampin Up! party and learned how to make a new punched edge.   Maybe I can share that with you.  This is the card we made.  See that fun edge?  It's made with THIS punch.

Basically you punch across the ivory card stock, evenly spaced,  then fold the edge back and slide in a a piece of pretty designed paper.   Love it!

What I learned

I learned how to make this scored easel card last weekend at a SU party.   Cute huh?

I decided to make a few more of them yesterday.

First you cut a  12 x 4 piece of cardstock.   Score at 4 inches, 6 inches and 8 inches.   Fold the score lines so you have a mountain, valley and mountain…   Or  the shape of an ‘M’…

Decorate the top flap.  and stand it up..   Decorate a small strip on the inside bottom flap.

Add a little button,  or a brad to the bottom inside flap.  That will help hold the card up.

Products Uses:   PTI – Petal Power background.  Blooming Button Bits.  CTMH – Sweet Leaf, Cranberry red, Vanilla cream.  Round punches. Buttons. My Minds Eye paper. Pearl brad. Twinkling H20’s.

Thanks Judy!

Enjoy! Create! Simplify!

Punches

I went to a class last night and learned how to make several things using punched shapes.

Here are a few examples.

I used various sizes of round and oval punches to make the frogs. We used a brayer and wrapped rubberbands around it, then rolled in ink to make the background paper. Does it look like pond water??

I used various sizes of round, oval and square punches to make the rabbit. The whiskers are staples.

The flower is the dahlia fold which is circle punches.

You can also make pigs, ducks, etc.. FUN!
