M4H P52: 23/52

My flower gardens are filling in nicely.  The peonies are in full bloom (actually their about done.)   My lavender is starting to bloom and it smells so good.  Originally I planted two plants.  Each fall they go to seed and my beds are filling in with more plants.   I took a photo with my 100mm macro lens to get some nice bokeh of this shot.

This weeks word:  BLUR

M4H - P52: 22/52

I’m a little embarrassed to share this picture with you.   This is my craft room.  It is also my fitness room and it is currently storage.

I’ve taken everything off the walls in my house. (except this room)  We’re getting ready to paint.  A room at a time will probably take us all summer.  Oh joy!

I just ordered new Bali blinds for the entire house,  too.  That is going to be another fun project.

This is currently My life!

M4H P52: 14/52

I took my camera out today.  Last year I bought a Canon 100mm macro lens and have used it only a couple of times.   I decided to use it and play around with the settings.   I took a walk down to Indian Creek this morning.   It was such a beautiful day out.   Mother Earth is awakening and coming back to life after her season of sleep.    This busy little bee was gathering pollen on a bright yellow dandylion.  His little legs were covered.  Even weeds can have a certain beauty about them.  The brightness radiates Spring.

Word this week:  Radiate

I live in the desert.  I’ve mentioned this before and I’m sure I’ll mention it again.  So many people don’t realize that Southwest Idaho is the desert.  Yes, we are surrounded by mountains, but the lava rock and sagebrush is closer.  I drove about 3 miles out of town and took a picture facing North East.   That snow capped mountain is where Bogus Basin Ski Resort is located.  At the base of that mountain is our Capitol City, Boise.

It is a vast state that I live in.  We are surrounded by farmland, sagebrush and mountains.

Word for week 13:  Vast

M4H P52: 4/52

Week 4 already.   The year is slipping away.

The word of the week is JOY.

My life is busy. I find it a joyous occasion when I find time to sit in my craft room and create.  Today was one of those days.

joy

M4H P52: 2/52

The theme for this week is IMPERFECT.    How do you take a picture of that?   My hours are limited to pack my camera around.  It’s dark when I leave for work and it’s dark when I get home.  My daylight hours are usually on weekends.

Today as I got home from the gym, I took off my shoes and was looking at my ugly feet. I really need to get a pedicure.   Winter feet are ugly and imperfect; especially after wearing running shoes and working out. The more I workout and run, the uglier they get.  It’s a price that I have to pay.   As I work on improving my body,  my feet are paying the price.

M4H P52: 1/52

Ok.. I’ve tried doing project52 before.  I’m going to try again.   Basically you take one photo a week for 52 weeks.  The group leader will give the word for the week.    I am doing it with the M4H project52 group.  You can get all of the details HERE. There is a Facebook group and a Flicker group.  Again….. all of the details HERE.    It is kind of intimidating doing this project because a majority of the group are professional photographers and they take really good photos.   They are such an inspiration and I love all of the creative ideas.

The theme for week one is REFLECTIVE.

re·flec·tive
adjective
adjective: reflective

1.
providing a reflection; capable of reflecting light or other radiation.
“reflective glass”
produced by reflection.
“a colorful reflective glow”
2.
relating to or characterized by deep thought; thoughtful.
“a quiet, reflective, astute man”

I really want to work on my photo skills, and take more photos.   I chose  to take a picture of myself, looking into a mirror with my camera.  Photo was edited with the new action set ENVISION from Little Lusker.  I used effect SWEETS.  If you get her newsletter, she is offering 25% right now.
