Button, Button, Who has the Button??

I’ve been collecting buttons for many years.    Why?   Who knows!  Why does anyone collect anything?  I just love them.  I use them on painted projects.  I use them on paper crafting projects…. Cards, Scrapbooking, etc..    I’ve even used them when I’ve had one missing on a clothing item…    Plus…. They’re pretty and colorful and well…..  buttons.

I painted this button box in 1995.   It has been roughed up and had a lot of attention.   My kids and nieces have dumped them out, counted them, organized them and probably lost a few.   My Grandson has even had his hands in them a few times.

These are in my craft room…

My Mama even found this little coin clutch for me last time she was at The Coast…   I just cant bring myself to cut the buttons off of it.   It will stay displayed on my shelf.

What do you Collect that makes you happy?

Enjoy!

Vintage Pyrex

Guess what?  I picked up the rest of my fabulous vintage finds at the consignment shop.  I’ve had them on layaway for a few weeks…

They have so much stuff to look at…  I could easily buy and buy… but I don’t like clutter…  so I control myself  and just look…    They have these really awesome old leather boots.  I’m thinking they would look great with flowers planted in them and placed in my flowers.   HHmmmm….   still thinking about it.

All about ME

Since it’s my Birthday week, (Thanks to my Family and Friends for all of the Birthday wishes!)  and It’s all about ME, I’m going to post a few more things that I love.     Who am I kidding?  It’s always about ME!  Isn’t that what our blogs are?  We post about things that we love or hate and that are important to us…

These are all things around my house, that I love, collect or have created.   I Scrapbook, I make cards, I paint, I collect, I create, I take pictures. I have stuff..  probably too much stuff…  I’m pretty good about getting rid of most of the old stuff.  I don’t like too much clutter..     It’s all just STUFF!   For some reason… we love our STUFF!    Don’t sweat the small stuff..

By the way…  did you notice that I have an Etsy shop?   I’m not sure how it will do…  I listed a couple of things and hope to sell some of my cards in the future..    Link is at the top right.   I bought a 500 ct package of these paper bags.  I finally sewed a bunch of them, created a pattern and I’m now selling them.

Enjoy! Create! Simplify!

Cute as a Button

If you've read my blog for awhile...  You know I love buttons and have quite a collection.   I have a button box... A large jar of mixed buttons and smaller  jelly jars full of them.

If I go to a yard sale  or antique stores....  If the price is right.... I'll buy more.   Why you might ask?     I have no idea... They just catch my eye...  and I love using them on my cards.  Paper Trey Ink....  AKA- PTI  sells vintage buttons that coordinate with their ink and cardstock colors!    They're yummy eye candy!

We crafters love to share our addictions....  Go visit them and buy a few!

Button, Button, who has the Button?

I love buttons! I'm not sure why but I've been collecting them for 15+ years. I painted a box to hold them about 15 years ago. I added them to some of my tolepaint projects... then I started stamping and scrapping and the rest is history. I used to add them to almost every card. Now that I'm getting my craft room organized they're easier to find... so you'll be seeing more of them on my creations. I poured them out on white cardstock and took a few pictures to share.
