Amore’

I know it’s past Valentines Day…  but I wanted you to know that I did find a few minutes to do some paper crafting.  I made a few Valentines.

These are from a CTMH kit.

Be Mine

I remember as a child, making special Valentine mailboxes or giant envelopes at school for Valentine’s Day…  I always gave a Valentine to everyone in the class and could never understand why some of the kids only gave to part of the class.  How rude is that?

I still like to make Valentines.    I would give one to everyone if I had time to make them.  Remember my word this year?  Choose.    I am spending less time on the card making.  I am choosing to do less and focus on a few other things.

Here is a sampling of the cards I made.  Some of the pictures are a little blurry.  I was in a hurry when taking them.

Products used:   Stamps  - CTMH - C1500 Under the Sea, My Favorite Things – Love You With All My Heart.  Fill My Heart With Joy. Crafty Secrets – Bathing Beauties. Technique Tuesday – Out of the World.  The Craft’s Meow – Fun{tashe}tic.  Distress ink – Barn Door, Vintage Photo.  White gel pen.  Button. Twine. Copic markers. Silhouette SD -  hearts.   CTMH – Cranberry Red, Hollyhock, Baby Pink.  SU – Cherry Cobbler. Echo Park - Yours Truly.  My Minds Eye – Love Me.

You can read more about the Cupid Corn Cookie Bark HERE and you’ll find a recipe there, too.

I put chunks of the bark in cupcake papers and I’m taking it to work today to share.

FYI... Today is also My Handyman's birthday.. He's not much into celebrating or having his picture taken.. One of these day's I'll sneak a current picture and share.

Rawr Means I Love You

I’ve been making Valentines all weekend.   I didn’t make a lot… Not enough time..  I made enough for the kids, and a few coworkers.

I had to get this fun little dinosaur stamp because my Grandson, Carter has loved dinosaurs for his entire 4 years.   He loves to growl and roar..  and he loves the color green.

All images are colored with Copic markers.

Of course I had to make one for my Granddaughter Kendall, too..  She’s a little young and really won’t care but that’s ok because Grammy has to spoil her, too.

Products used:   CTMH – Tulip, Hollyhock, Cranberry. My Minds Eye – Love Me. Echo Park – Yours Truly. Copic Markers. Button. Twine. Brad. Ribbon. Distress ink – vintage photo. White Gel Pen.  Spellbinders – labels 8.  SilhouetteSD – hearts.  Fantastix – champagne mist. SU label punch. Stamps = My Favorite Thinks. Pure Innocence - Heart Stripes. Little Loveosaurus.

I also made some of this today.  More cards tomorrow with details on this fun treat.

I’m Nuts for You!

Well today is the day.   The special day of LOVE.   Why do we save it up for one day?   We should show love every day.   Love for our Heavenly Father. Love for our Family.  Love for our Fellowman.  Love for Ourselves.  If we love our Heavenly Father and do as he commands, the rest will fall  into place.

I love all of my blog readers and I love comments.

Here are a couple of Valentines I made.

Products used:  Pink Cat Studio digital images. My Minds Eye – Be Loved. Copic Markers. Distress Ink – Vintage Photo. Ribbon. Rhinestones.

I created these for week 2 and week 3 of the Viva La Verve Challenges.

This one is for the cutest little Dinosaur lover.

Oh Heart of Mine

The day is rapidly approaching and I’m finally making a few Valentines.   I’m not sure how many I’ll get made this year…

These are a couple more of Heather Ellis’s Sweet Innocence digital stamps.    I love making Valentine cards because of the colors.  Reds and Greens are my fave!

Amore may refer to:

  • Love, in the Italian language
  • Love, from the latin word "Amat" meaning "To Love"

Love is the emotion of strong affection and personal attachment. In philosophical context, love is a virtue representing all of human kindness, compassion, and affection. Love may also be described as actions towards others (or oneself) based on compassion. Or as actions towards others based on affection.

The word love can refer to a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes, ranging from generic pleasure ("I loved that meal") to intense interpersonal attraction ("I love my partner"). "Love" can also refer specifically to the passionate desire and intimacy of romantic love, to the sexual love of eros (cf. Greek words for love), to the emotional closeness of familial love, or to the platonic love that defines friendship, to the profound oneness or devotion of religious love. This diversity of uses and meanings, combined with the complexity of the feelings involved, makes love unusually difficult to consistently define, even compared to other emotional states.

Love in its various forms acts as a major facilitator of interpersonal relationships and, owing to its central psychological importance, is one of the most common themes in the creative arts.
