Love You Mother

My Mom had a birthday a couple of days ago,  along with her clone, Aunt Dolores.
I created this card for her.

I recently purchase this stamp set – Love you Mother from Crafty Secrets along with a couple others that I am anxious to ink up.  They sent me some very nice free stuff too.

This is another new paper set from CTMH – X7153B – Florentine. I love the colors.    I colored the image with Twinkling H20’s.  I love the soft, shimmery, watery look of them.

Products used:  CTMH – X7153B – Florentine.  Twilight. Gold Rush. Crafty Secrets – Love You Mother. Spellbinders – Labels 4. Seam binding ribbon. Robins Nest baubles. Vintage button. Twine. Twinkling H20’s. Distress ink – Vintage photo. Sewing tool.

Salty Sea Air

I love going to the Oregon Coast.  It’s been since Sept 2009 since I’ve been over there.  We’re going again this September.

I love seeing all of the light houses,  the waves crashing, the birds, the whales, the taffy, the fun little shops, the salt air….  I guess I love everything about it.

That is probably why I’m attracted to stamps that remind me of the Coast.

Products used:  My Minds Eye. Distress ink – Vintage Photo, Bundled Sage, Tumbled Glass.  CTMH – C1499 Perfect Day. PTI – Birthday Bash Sentiments.  Button. Twine. Sewing Tool. Twinkling H20’s. Spellbinders.

Here are a few reminders as to why I love the Coast.

Plenty of room for all of us..

Wishes For You

Yellow and Grey is such a great color combination.   I bought this new Close To My Heart set, C1494 – Card Word Puzzle a couple of weeks ago.  I love the little flowers and knew I wanted to do something with them.

I cut out the label using Spellbinders Labels 17.   I kept the paper inside the die cut and sponged the inside with Distress ink – Wild Honey, to give it a framed look.  I spritzed with just a touch of water to spatter it.

I then colored the flowers in with some of the Wild Honey and finished of with shimmerz to give them a special glow.

Products used:   Spellbinders – Labels 17.  Authentique – Blissful. CTMH – C1494 – Card Word Puzzle. Distress ink – Wild Honey, Vintage Photo, Iced Spruce. Shimmerz. Liquid Pearls. Verve – Making a Statement. Sewing Tool. Pigma Pen.

Rawr Means I Love You

I’ve been making Valentines all weekend.   I didn’t make a lot… Not enough time..  I made enough for the kids, and a few coworkers.

I had to get this fun little dinosaur stamp because my Grandson, Carter has loved dinosaurs for his entire 4 years.   He loves to growl and roar..  and he loves the color green.

All images are colored with Copic markers.

Of course I had to make one for my Granddaughter Kendall, too..  She’s a little young and really won’t care but that’s ok because Grammy has to spoil her, too.

Products used:   CTMH – Tulip, Hollyhock, Cranberry. My Minds Eye – Love Me. Echo Park – Yours Truly. Copic Markers. Button. Twine. Brad. Ribbon. Distress ink – vintage photo. White Gel Pen.  Spellbinders – labels 8.  SilhouetteSD – hearts.  Fantastix – champagne mist. SU label punch. Stamps = My Favorite Thinks. Pure Innocence - Heart Stripes. Little Loveosaurus.

I also made some of this today.  More cards tomorrow with details on this fun treat.

Fast Cars and Freedom

I’ve had this Old Corvette stamp for a few years.  It’s from Cornish Heritage Farms which went out of business.   They just recently opened back up and now sell digital stamps.

The last couple of cards I’ve made,  including this one, I’ve pulled out older papers that I have in my stash.   A few months ago I cleaned out my paper closet and gave a lot of papers to my DIL.   I need to use the rest of this old stuff.  This one is from Cosmo Cricket’s paper packet – Wanted

The stamped image is kind of shadowy.  Not super detailed.  I colored it in with a watery wash of Twinkling H20’s.

Products used:   CHF – Corvette stamp. Twinkling H20’s. Seam binding ribbon. Distress ink – Vintage photo. Spellbinders – Label 17. Cosmo Cricket – Wanted. Zig calligraphy writer – black.

Take Flight

I finally had a chance to make a couple of cards I will be sharing with you over the next couple of days.

This one is from CTMH set – D1234 – Take Flight.    I am great at making pretty girly cards.  Not so good at masculine cards.  Out of the 100’s of stamp sets that I have…  I don’t have many for men so they tend to all look the same.

Products used:   CTMH – D1234 – Take Flight. Spellbinders – Medium Circles. SU papers. Distress ink – Vintage Photo. Pink Hedgehog – Sea Glass baubles.

2012 Adventure

I finally had a little inspiration and made the cover for my 2012 Scrap*Life*Journal class.

I cut the sun out of several papers by My Minds Eye, CTMH, SU and K & Co.  I used my Pinking Circles by Spellbinders

I hand wrote all of the lettering using multiple pens.  A Zig pen. Prismacolor pen and a sharpie pen.

I created 3 of my handmade paper flowers and spritzed them with Sunflower Glimmer Mist.   I cut out the leaves and spritzed them with Olive Vine Glimmer Mist.

The grassy rolling hills are made out of some My Minds Eye paper and CTMH – black.  I scraped the edges with my scissors to distress them.

The entire page is made with papers out of old scraps of paper.

Products used:   Pinking Circles – Spellbinders. K&Co. My Minds Eye. CTMH. SU. Glimmer Mist – Sunflower, Olive vine. CTMH – copper brads. Sharpie pen. Zig pen. Prismacolor pen. Old book. Scallop punch.  Distress ink – Vintage photo.
